I actually broke down and got one. I am an O&G guy (18 years in the industry) and have no shame that I did this. The innovation of these things is absolutely spectacular. I do not understand why people have to politicize these vehicles and continue to potentially stunt future innovations.

Bought a '24 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium Extended. Love it so far.

I love driving EVs. When I go back to my ICE cars, they feel "clunky". Especially in traffic, it's so easy to drive an EV. You can get into spots quickly.

Another benefit: you can gun it immediately. My other cars take 10+ miles to get oil temp above 150+F and I keep RPMS below 4000 during that.
Not sure if that's common knowledge but it's highly recommended you don't push your ICE car to its limits until everything is warmed up.
Also don't idle a car to warm it up. You should drive it almost immediately.

I haven't had any charging issues with Electrify America so far in my ID4, but I look forward to Supercharger access if only for emergencies.

My impression is that most people -- even engineers and techy types -- do not know about that. Some people know that you're supposed to kinda break them in, when new, but the engine oil temp. is a pro tip.

Yeah, I love the EV life. I don't miss all the smells of an ICE in the garage, etc. Don't miss the maintenance either.
