who can keep it all straight? I'm still basking in the warm afterglow of the in-season tournament, best thing to happen to the NBA since the three-point line
It looks like in both 2023 and 2024, both East and West had 3 front court reserves, so if the trend continues, Sengun could very well have a chance at that 12th spot being 6th in front court voting, but like you noted has to get the nod from the coaches. Noteworthy that Grizz and OKC are ahead of us in the standings with JJJ and JDub also gunning for that 6th front court reserve spot.
Herro 9th in voting likely doesn’t have a chance, save for multiple injuries. Also funny to see, Booker and Fox, Rockets pipe dream legends, not close to all star considerations this year
It's a shame Sengun is having a down year because this is when he should've made his first all star team, but I don't think he'll get it. I'm not sure we have any players that actually deserve it but I'm still voting for our guys.
No, 7 reserves, 24 players in all. Of the starters, there are 2 backcourt players and 3 frontcourt players, and generally 4 backcourt and 3 frontcourt reserves (although I do not believe there is a strict rule regarding reserve splits).
This is exactly my thought. Barring injuries, the last spot will go to Sengun, JDub, or JJJ, and there are arguments for and against each. Sengun needs to have some star performances to increase his odds.
There are only 2 teams and the 3rd is the rising stars totalling 24, so how can there be 24 between the 2?
There are three teams of 8 and the fourth team is the rising stars. The voting/selection process remains unchanged.
So we think Sengun won’t make the All Star team, but the NBA thinks he’s a top 10 MVP candidate? Interesting.
Hope Dillon gets a coach's nod just to see how his antics holds up in a glorified pickup game. Might be fireworks
The oldest person on that list is LeRoid. He needs to retire and be removed from planet earth. If LeRoid doesn't retire, ShinGin cannot move up in popularity contest.
