Shams: Jimmy Butler open to being traded to Rockets Mavericks or Warriors

We've been in the end of this type of diva before with Harden. I'm not interested in being the next team that caters to a diva, just to have that same diva force you to trade him next time he is unhappy. Hard pass.

As a sidenote, his agent looks like a liar and moron now, and Shams is vindicated.

 

9 points and a -27 (worst +/- on the court today), and has a $51M player option for next season lol. They lose at home vs the Pacers with him back. Paying Jimmy $75M for 1.5 seasons in his age 35-36 seasons is crazy. He scored 9pts, 9ts, and 0 pts in his last 3 games and has pulled this same attitude when exiting his last two teams.

The problem is the Heat are in the EC and could finish top 4. Then you take your chances and see what happens.

Since Riles never backs down to anyone, I doubt Butler is traded unless another team is irresponsible. Then again, Butler did carry two undermanned teams to the NBA Finals so maybe the old man will show a some mercy.

EDIT: Shams just said Butler is suspected to not be putting forth full effort on the court and the relationship is now completely broken.

I'm not following much of the NBA much these days so I'm not clued in - but what's caused the Butler/Heat relationship to turn so sour?

 

If $50 mil a year playing basketball doesn’t bring you “joy”, you’re beyond help.

 

I'd trade Harden for him straight up

 

Hopefully Rockets fo isn't dumb enough to trade for butler. Didn't want to overpaid for the one of the greatest rockets so hopefully they keep that same mindset.

I can see Sacremento making a trade for Butler giving up Derozan and Huerter for him to try and convince Fox to stay.
