Steph is above Lebron. The idea that Lebron is anywhere near GOAT status is so laughable to me. Bro is behind Russell, Wilt, Steph, Magic and Jordan. If Jokic wins two more rings he'll be behind him too.

The younger James was pretty good, always dunked and drove....now he is mostly a pedestrian jump shooter with the occasional highlight play.

How can a freight train move like a gazelle.

It was 20 years ago........how times really fly....Lebron went against Tmac, Kobe.

The fact that LeBrom is considered nothing more than a jump shooter now, is like, in and of itself, a testament to his greatness. That was his kryptonite coming into the league. He literally couldn't shoot. Now look at him. He's no Jordan though.

Lebron: 153.5 VORP, 8.6 career BPM, 266.1 WS
Steph: 71.6 VROP, 6.5 career BPM, 137.8 WS

I can see where you would conclude curry is better though

Lebron has a higher 3 pt percentage than both Kobe and Jordan.

I can understand why people hate him though, its because he played in the NBA for 20 yrs people are sick of seeing him unlike MJ who only played in his prime and then kept leaving for one reason or the other.

When people mock Lebron today they don't even consider MJ was washed and gambling and playing golf long before this time, Lebron at least still playing at an all star level.

lebron is the most manufactured athlete in the history of sports.. everything about him is scripted/rehearsed from faking havign the n-word sprayed in his driveway, to prentending to read high level books( upside down), to wanting to always have everyone talk and mention him 24/7. People are sick and now he just forced his poor son on us months after bronny had a cardiac arrest.

He is everything kobe wasnt, im sure kobe was offered chances to shill for obama when obama first won in 2008, and kobe always stayed away from politics same as jordan. When you pick a side in politics you turn away the other. Most of the nba fanbase was probably conservative lol, now since the 2020 kneeling protest you are seeing less and less people in nba arenas even worse than before. The fact that adam silver let that "woke" crap happen after seeing the damage it did to the nfl with kaepernick is shocking

What does all that crap you posted have anything to do with you saying Lebron cant shoot when he has a higher 3 pt than both Kobe and MJ?

This is why the goat debate will never be resolved people are too emotionally invested in their idols to have a rational and objective view on the matter.

lebron announced he was leaving twitter weeks ago and literally NOBODY cared, he came back like 2 weeks later and it was like he never was gone. Nobody cares about Bron like that, its his illegal agency that is paying employees at espn like malika, nneka, and perkins to always mention lebron and the lakers 24/7 having to attach lebron to more popular players in other sports like messi, mahomes etc.. lebron as a singular showcase cant draw flies to ****. They have to attach brons name to durant, steph to get big tv ratings.. 2007, and 2020 were not coincendences lol, nobody wants to watch a big 6'9 inch dude with no bag run over smaller players and then throwing his hands up complaining about the contact that he himself created

On thread topic, Curry's legacy suffers, IMO, every time he's on a mediocre version of the Warriors and they just keep looking average. With the current group, I guess you could argue they would be basement-dwelling without him on the roster, but he's not playing that well. Think he shot like 40% in December, if I heard the radio report correctly this a.m.

Sounded depressed af after their latest loss, and while I don't blame him, he just doesn't have the dog in him that Jordan did.

Steph Curry is the best overall shooter in NBA history.

He is a first ballot Hall of Famer and when this era of basketball is discussed, he is on the short list.

Having said that - he isn't and never had been the best player in his generation.

LeBron James (for as corny as he is) is the best player in his generation and arguably Kevin Durant has been better as well.

In the second half of his career - it is pretty clear that guys like Jokic and Alphabet are far better.

Defensive he has always been putrid - but he played smart defensively, and he was covered well by teammates.

The idea that he is the Michael Jordan of the modern era is comical.

From the entire time Jordan was a Bull, there was only a short window when anyone was remotely close to him (Hakeem) and that window was when Jordan was playing baseball.

Jordan is the best basketball player ever - Steph wasn't always the best player on his own team.

Curry is still absolutely huge for the Warriors. His On-Off is still +11.9 at the age of 36. In comparison, Doncic has an On-Off of +8.1, while Harden at his peak was +9.1

I think the idea is not that he is the 2nd Jordan but the Jordan of the 3 point shooting NBA that is today.....

Or you could call him the LeBron of the 3 point shooting era, people know the gist of it.

A copy cat league without much inspiration and creativity.

He was the Prototype and also the Master.

Easy to say that when stats are inflated so much. Not like he's doing anything special when his peers are doing the same or much better. Old, "washed" MJ was playing in the slowest, probably toughest era where he was keeping up at the top with peak Kobe and T-Mac when healthy and Jordan didn't take mysterious absences throughout his career to come back to start balling out after "treatments" and "the Michael Jordan of Doctors" got him right again. Adam Silver himself said the late 90s into 2ks was TOO physical. So to compare that to older players today getting big numbers in a era that everyone knows is TOO easy. A league dominated by euros who say the NBA is easier than Euro basketball...that's used to prop up LeBron's legacy?

Fans are so starved for a semblance of what basketball used to be. We got little guards averaging big man rebound numbers, and little guys averaging better % than traditional big man under the basket. The NBA became a joke in perfect time to help boost older LeBron's numbers as he was clearly statistically trending down(not to mention the intro of the Play-In and In season Tournament both of which LeBron immediately benefitted from-taken to its most grotesque levels when Silver and LeBron combined for the Bubble championship).
Don't agree stats are inflated? Then you're one of the idiots who has to argue that old LeBron is better than peak MVP LeBron bc the numbers say so right? It's a joke league and now who has a problem with it and doesn't want other's benefiting from it the way he did now that he got his precious accumulative stat record? You know ...the record that no one cared about..when the guy with more MVPs and more rings than LeBron had it? The one who tried to use media power to convince everyone that's what makes you the greatest? Longevity and total stats? Who doesn't want these guys to have a full career to benefit from this league statistically? LeBron, of course.

Fans so starved for something they don't quite know what it is that people call SGA a mid range god, but he gets the bulk of his pts and efficiency under the basket and within a few feet around from FT lin to the short corner. You know...traditionally C/PF areas. He barely takes real mid range shots and he's seen as some hope of another Jordan or Kobe like mid range master. That's what the people want. SGA plays more like James Harden than he does Jordan or Kobe and yet it's enough to hype people up that the NBA could return to the Jordan and Kobe era. Same with trying to pump up ANT as the next Jordan or Kobe.

No one wants the next Lebron, just like no one was seeking the next Kareem or Karl Malone.

Curry is 8/8 from 3 tonight with 10 assists and 30 points vs 76ers with a sprained thumb.

    Absolutely nuts.

Buddy Hield has deteriorated from looking like Klay lite to looking like Ben Simmons on shooting.......
