You might be right but it's not crazy that they could be related. Same rental agency, same day, both electric vehicles. This could have easily been just as deadly had the truck not held up so well. I would wait before assuming these weren't the same sleeper cell.

I guess there’s a small chance they are related. They just don’t seem to be in the same ballpark though.

I just spent the last hour looking at used Hummer H2s on cars.com. Specifically the SUT from 2008 or 2009. Won't actually get one because it wouldn't suit my family's needs at all, but I kinda want one.

I feel like the Cybertruck is the modern H2/Excursion, at least as far as reputation. But I don't think anyone will be looking to buy a 2024 Cybertruck in 2040; I don't think its value will hold.

    PTSD?

Do we know whether the person in the car was possibly already dead?

Would Tesla have cabin camera footage on their servers they could review?

Tesla has lots of data on the car and video from the Tesla charging stations he used along the way. The guy drove to the hotel and intentionally blew himself up.

There are photos of the stuff in the trunk. It was designed to set the truck on fire. 2 people went to the hospitals with minor injuries and were released.

    Is this speculation or confirmed?

Looks like this guy served at the same army base as the New Orleans guy.

“The sheriff said Tesla CEO Elon Musk helped the investigation by having the truck unlocked after it auto-locked in the blast and giving investigators video of the suspect at charging stations along its route from Colorado to Las Vegas.“

There is no way Tesla would reveal that information even if they had it. Allegedly cabin cam does not record.

The owner may have that info if they are recording, which running it through turo, I would not be surprised.

I feel like in my privacy policy it said it could record (though you could opt in/out, and I couldn't find that option within the car)

Cybertruck bomber shot himself in head before explosion

Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger shot himself in the head just before the explosion at the Trump Las Vegas hotel, police said.

Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters Thursday that Livelsberger, 37, was found inside the vehicle with a “self-inflicted gunshot wound” to the head.

Should military members be allowed access to Trucks, rifles, explosives or the Internet without some kind of counseling or licensing - seems like mental trauma often associated with combat deployment/PTSD and internet rabbit holes combined with guns & vehicles is a recipe for disaster

    Tragic.

Wonder what brought Livelsberger to that point?

Glad nobody was hurt other than Livelsberger (not that I am glad he was hurt).

How would they so quickly conclude that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted if the body was burned beyond recognition?

And again, how would he shoot himself in the head and THEN detonate explosives?

Story doesn't add up at all.
