Bush kicked ass! uhhhh, what are you talking about? the debate hasn't started yet? oh well, never mind...

an intersting tidbit to consider while we're waiting for the fireworks to commence:

In his fading years, the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright embarked on a final grand project. Invited in 1957 by King Faisal of Iraq to design a new opera house, Wright expanded the brief into a plan for Baghdad complete with museums, parks, university and authentic bazaar. Dispensing with his "prairie style," he peppered the scheme with domes, spires and ziggurats.

The 1958 revolution meant that none of it was built. But the ever-resourceful Wright simply offered the design to a new client. And today, the Baghdad opera house is the Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium at Arizona State University: an example of Wright's versatility and the forum for next week's presidential debate. Under the arches of a lost Iraqi skyline, George W Bush and John Kerry will meet in debate for the final time.

The night is young, but I thought Bush just messed up on the Bin Laden not being a real concern quote.

i'm already bored. not sure how we ended up talking about osama during the "domestic" debate. the flu vaccine question was a good one- not sure either candidate handled it well, although bush's point about companies being afraid to produce the vaccine was a good one.

We talked about Osama because the question was about security.

I agree with you about neither candidate not really coming off good on the flu vaccine.

This debate is mind numbingly dull, but I can't watch baseball because I am too skittish about the stros to watch. Plus I keep jinxing them whever I watch.

EDIT, never mind I scrolled past the reference by accident. my bad.

Here's some shots of the buildings. I had never heard that story before even though I'm a big FLW fan, or at least consider myself as such.

I can't say I am in love with this building but I will not knock it too badly on such scant evidence.

Also, I don't think many of his buildings were meant to be seen aerially, which is where it looks worst.

It's on FSNY, 26 on TWC. I think also on F/X if you have that, whatever that is.

kerry is such an unbelivable name dropper. he's mentioned roosevelt, jfk (the first, reagan, mccain, the washington post, "two major networks"...is he capable of forming original thought w/out someone telling him what or how to think?

    Yes, because it's true.

Social Security could fund itself, if we didn't raid its funds all the time.

Medicare is a different story, however.
