I love that Royal Ivey talks about toughness but he averaged 3.3 ppg and 1.1 boards per game careerwise. And no, I don't even like Sardun yaya. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/i/iveyro01.html
sengun a great player, smoothe widdit kinda like hakeem or big lurch in denver but if he mad about this he soft az baby ****
The toughness, and physical effort is their calling card. That isn't going to change and I don't want that to change - it is their backbone. As for the offense - the struggles are largely fit and personnel based. If you cannot shoot, you are not going to be a good offense.
Coaches are allowed to get on players when they aren’t doing the things they ask them to do. It doesn’t mean anything more sinister. The Sengun victim card is wearing thin. All our players have things they can improve. Sengun is our main guy, so he’s going to catch some heat if he falls short. The scary thing would be for coaches to stop talking about you because they are just waiting until the offseason to ship you out…like what I hope happens with Jalen
Yeah - as I said - he got 1 rebound every 10 minutes in his career. I guess most people could get that by literally just standing around on the court. I see it like @harold bingo put it - not a big deal, whatever, clearly this thread wasn't actually started by a "Sengunatic", Sengun probably dgaf, who cares - but yeah, it is weird that they call out one guy in particular, but not others to the same degree. They know basketball a lot more than I do, I just never see "lack of effort" from Sengun.
The only real reason that Royal Ivey isn't an Uber driver is because of his toughness and work ethic. I wouldn't hold averages of 3.3/1.1 against Ivey because he never should have been in the NBA based on talent.
Or he was there to fill the marginal spots that marginal players fill.....like a quota. Jokic's defensive numbers are not that great either but you rarely hear coaches or people talk about those. There are things that you can address behind closed doors instead of spilling the beans to Vanessa.
lol. I count at least two of them there, the yaya guy and the flamingo guy. And I bet there's more . . . just sayin', no sarcasm.
And zero posters here are supporting it. There is a continuation of that conversation in Turkish where the Turkish posters express their disagreement with and concern about that particular Tweeter. So it's ridiculous to pretend that all Sengun fans are like that one very extreme person.
