A heated debate within the GOP over H-1B work visas

    DOGE Tsars, Musk and the jerk, are for the H-1B visas;

the jerked added "the American culture promotes mediocrity and laziness “, "celebrating the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers”

Musk started life in the US as an ellegal alien

    .

MAGA allies are not for H1B visas

Trump says H-1B visa program is 'great'

“I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program,” he said, according to the outlet’s report.

WSJ conveniently forgets that Trump has re-appointed this American Nazi as his senior immigration advisor

Doesn't anyone find it odd Trump does a 180 after receiving 250 million from Elon? Just like after he received cash from TikTok investors, another 180.

And he doesn't use H1B on his properties. He uses H2B which the posted article clearly states Trump was confused.

Democrats would rather let in millions of no-skilled labor, single males with no family, and hardened criminals vs moderately to high skilled h1bs.

Further, moderates have been very vocal that we need to increase H1Bs over "asylum seekers" for years.

The modern Democrats are completely morons.

You increase H1B when you have a shortage of qualified citizens. There is absolutely no shortage in IT right now. However, there is a shortage of non-skilled workers.

There is an excess of programmers/coders and IT project managers.

There is an extreme deficit in AI development. AI is making those guys obsolete in real time.

    Interesting thing. Google AI says:
According to current data, H1 Visa holders generally earn a similar or slightly higher pay rate compared to regular employees with comparable skills and experience, as employers are legally required to pay them at least the "prevailing wage" for their job title and location, which ensures they are not paid significantly less than their US counterparts; in some cases, studies have shown H1B visa holders may even earn slightly more than US workers in similar roles.
Key points about H1 Visa holder pay:
    • Prevailing Wage Requirement:
The primary factor influencing H1 Visa holder pay is the "prevailing wage" set by the Department of Labor, which is the minimum salary employers must pay for a specific job in a given area.
    • No Lower Pay Allowed:
Employers cannot pay H1 Visa holders less than the prevailing wage, essentially protecting them from being underpaid compared to US workers in similar positions.
    • Potential for Higher Pay:
Some studies indicate that H1B visa holders may actually earn slightly higher salaries than comparable US workers due to competition in the tech industry and the need to attract highly skilled talent.

Interesting that they have these type of protections but American workers do not.
But I think the employers have more leverage
Now I am interested in the "Prevailing Wage" - somehow I suspect it is more than the "Living Wage" that Americans want.

    Change is a coming

I think Americans are begining to believe the Lazy American stereotype we push for various reasons
They are also facing the situation where people they put in place who were not "them" having their own biases
Vivek looks down on Americans . . . and he is in a position to enforce his bias and is doing so
Something most minorities have been on the bad end off their whole lives
    not
White Folx are experiencing it for the 1st time . .. and they don't like it.

Don't think MAGA wants any immigrants. You think some poor dude in west Virginia wants some random guy from India making 200k.

I'm not sure what Democrats think MAGA is anymore. It seems to insinuate racist stupid people.

It's important to note with this recent election, Trump pulled in a lot of the moderate/libertarian/independent votes. Broadstroking them into the more right side of Republicans isn't going to help any arguments.

It's also important to note all of politics is in the middle of a shakeup.

I'm not sure of your message, but from my anecdotal experience, white people have become increasingly lazy and very entitled. Just look at the obesity rates.

Trump tried to reduce them last go around, and the people he's empowered with government positions seem to be the same ones against H-1Bs. So it certainly could make for an intriguing political battle within the executive branch itself.

One thing this guy mentions in his opinion piece is that it helps reduce illegal immigration, which doesn't really fly. H-2 Visas are certainly very helpful in that regard, as long as the renewed. If they aren't renewed, it makes it easier to be here illegally as you are already here. I'm all for increased legal immigration.

I don't think obesity = lazy. Unless the fact that we simply sit more than ever is the definition of lazy.
