Kings remains a poorly run franchise, feel sorry for their fans who’ve been amazing judging from their energy and attendance numbers. This roster is just not that great.
When you fire the head coach less than half way through the season, your season is pretty much tanked.
Didn't they just extend him? Here's the issue their team is not very good. They got good injury luck 2 years ago and the West was really weak, so they won ~ 50 games, light the beam etc Basically they maxed out Now it's strong, and their max is mediocre. Get better players!
Brown calls out Fox yesterday. Fired today. Coincidence? https://www.si.com/nba/mike-brown-a...gs-incredible-implosion-vs-pistons-jaden-ivey
Could they have waited for the All Star Break at least? Their core is far from championship level......
This is why Ime post games are the way they are. He won't point out any player that cost us the game. You just have to say shots aren't falling and thats it.
Lots of blame to go around there... Sure, Mike Brown wasn't doing a good job coaching this season, but the decision to add DeRozan was just terrible roster construction from the front office. Couple that with the fact that their 2 best shooters suddenly fell off a cliff and became 29-30% 3PT shooters. Even with all that they're still a #9 offense and #14 defense. This firing seemed a little premature. And how they handled it (over the phone) is just really terrible.
Their owner is a straight up nutjob. Like people here hate on Fertita but they havent experienced the Kings owner lmao. I am sure the firing is the owner's idea. They just extended Brown for 3 yrs.
