We all know the trolls on this forum. It's ridiculous to try to compare Green's first year with what we're seeing from Reed so far. JG was a first All-Rookie team. Reed, today, I don't know if he's good enough to be a starter in the G League.
And this is nothing against Reed; he needs time.

    I like his passing . . . . . And that's about it.

I don't know what happened to him but this level of shooting is beyond bad. He looks like rookie Amen out there right now from the 3 pt line.

It's gotta burn for Holiday to watch Reed get these minutes.

Yeah. You can't continue playing him in the NBA at this point. He's cooked. He needs to go down and get rebuilt because his game is fried. I'm not done with him, I'm not calling him a bust, but continuing to put him out there isn't helping anyone. He needs to be assigned to the G League.

I still think Reed is capable of being in the 50/40/90 club like we were all expecting when he came into the league, I can see it in there, but dude needs to be sent off to the daiye spa for a week to get his brains reprogrammed.

I guess it depends how you view things. I thought he was doing decent in limited minutes until he nose dived over the past month. Cody Williams is the only lotto guy clearly doing worse than Reed. Dillingham hasn't played much and hasn't done much either when he has played other than that 1 game against us. Risacher has been pretty bad too but I haven't watched him much.

I was thinking about it a bit and all of the picks have had concerning moments early in their career and with time have come around to look like what we expected. I think the coaching staff will help him get his head where it needs to be and his confidence back.

Threw him to the wolves? Reed is a top 3 pick, he should atleast look like an NBA player when he’s on the court.

Sheppard will need to get physically stronger. The larger guards are targeting him and pushing him around.
The Sixers' Jared McCain is the same height but Sheppard looks scrawny by comparison.

Jabari had a similar problem in his first two seasons (and still does sometimes), but because of his size, Sheppard seems even more overwhelmed by the competition.

    Eat your Wheaties, Reed!

    Look at Jalen Suggs' trajectory.

He also really struggled his first year, then got better.

Good comp. Suggs had the benefit of regular minutes too.

You can tell he’s struggling to process the game speed a bit right now, which should be a strength. Still, Amen had issues with that last year, and I consider him an elite “processor”.

His confidence is clearly shaken — you could tell even the team felt bad for him when he missed that free throw. He then had a layup rim out — he’s just snake bit right now.

Whitmore started the year 1-21 from 3 and is now 8 of his last 18 since his G league stint. Especially for the younger guys who are used to being primary options, the adjustment can be really hard.

Hopefully Reed can go down and find his mojo - I still wouldn’t count him out to be part of a playoff run. Elite shooting is hard to find, and Reed can still be that this year.

Reports from gms saying they were treating the first pick of the draft like it was the tenth pick in a normal draft for the past draft. Reed isn't a normal 3rd pick. He's a third pick in a abnormally bad draft in terms of blue chip prospects. No one in the draft even approaching Green or Jabari or Amen level hype entering the draft.

This draft will probably produce a lot of a solid starters and rotation players but I don't see this draft producing any superstars.

He should get the whole year to be evaluated but boy…. He needs some time in the G league ! He plays with no confidence

Bro Sheppard's play isn't even worth a 2nd round pick so it doesn't matter if the draft is weak, he's been trash regardless of the overall draft level. People always bring up the enitre draft like why does that matter? Who else in the lotto is averaging 3 ppg and scoring 1 pt in 18 mins? Superstars? His play isn't even at Boban level so who cares if this draft doesn't produce stars.

He needs to be in GLeague and rework his entire shot and develop his handles. He also needs to grow an inch or two in the summer that will make things a lot easier for him.

In retrospect Stone drafting Sheppard was not his drafting style at all he always got athletes with a lot of size and length like Jalen, Amen, Jabari and Tari and with Sheppard he got a midget with limited athleticism. I guess he bought into the Sheppard hype just like everyone else and it backfired pretty badly.

CW has that high upside, what're we expecting from a 6'1 guard with bad handles and limited athleticism. He'll just be Tim Connelly or Maxi Clieber when everything finally clicks for him.

Good to know you are ok with the pick. It’s not looking great right now, but time will tell. Sometimes it takes players a few years to come into their own.

He brought in Sheppard because drafting Edey would make Steven Adams trade a stupid move. They needed a FVV backup so they dradted for position. I don't know why they did not draft Castle though. We don't have space to bet on or develop talent. We need to draft ready to contribute players.
