I bet even Tyty Washington would play better than this Reed.

 

Castle is also shooting 38.6%. Wells and McCain have been good, but neither were remotely in the conversation for going in the top 5. There are always surprise players in every class, but man was the top of this draft bad. No solid, sure thing type of players, and that's proven true. You're not looking for a defensive specialist who can't play on the other end at the top of a draft.

I was always kinda lukewarm on Reed, but more because I wasn't sold on anybody in 2024. That's proven to be more or less true.

To be clear, I still think RS has a real chance at being an effective NBA player. He's played as many minutes as like, 9 rookie Jalen Green games at this point. Easy to lose sight of that. He can turn it around, and I don't think he's this bad of a shooter. Depressing that he's been such a poor contributor so far after a good SL, though.

 

I swear I never thought I would see a player struggle to play basketball more than Daishen Nix.

How soon can Jalen be traded?

It didn't ask about the degree of difficulty in trading him.


In regards to the degree of difficulty of trading him during the season, at least one additional team would likely need to be involved to take excess salary.

 

Maybe because he was not an NBA player, he had good traits that translated in the G League.

You have to dominate the GLeague to play up here.

And credit where credit is due, Jalen had another very impressive game.

 

Great game by the whole team, i'm wondering if the rockets are going to have to decide between Cam and Jalen eventually???

I like boring wins. This kind of boring is good. Just like deciding not to travel to Texas to see my massive extended family for the holidays this year.

 

He plays 9 Green games because he is bad. You make it an excuse when its his fault he gets few mins. One thing you are forgetting is if he plays good he would have had more mins. He got like 28 tries to have a great game and failed every time. OTH Rookie Jalen and Cam also played bad but had their breakout game before 10 game mark. If Sheppard had a great game even once he'd play lots more minutes that game.

It doesnt matter if Mcain is not a top 5 the point is they are better than Sheppard who is a top 3 pick. Sheppard isnt even that young he is 20 yrs old the same age as rookie Amen. He only 2 yrs younger than Jalen and everybody is so hard on Jalen they mock him for playing great against bad teams.

Maybe you arent worried but I def am. We havent seen that breakout game even once 30% into the season and he gets 11 mpg every game. Look at Jabari, Jalen, Sengun, Cam etc they got that breakout game at least once before 30 games.

 

Boring win. Great to see Cam making the most of his minutes.

It is comical at this point how bad Jock is. He keeps reaching new lows.

He's been bad, no doubt, and doesn't deserve minutes outside of garbage time. But we've seen bad rookies turn things around before. It's not looking good, but not all hope is lost, is all I'm saying.

 

Yeah hopefully he turns it around. We need a backup pg..

 

I think we should make a move at the deadline for a backup point and maybe a backup C.
