Adoo’s stats although from 2022, actually show that California made up 29% of the nation’s homeless at the time. (171,521 out of 582,500)

the recent HUD report that is being referenced in that Forbes video shows an overall increase nationwide of 18% from 2023 to 2024 (653,104 to 771,480)

    https://www.hudexchange.info/progra...r_State=&filter_CoC=&program=CoC&group=PopSub

in California, it was an increase of less than 3.5% from 2023 to 2024. (181,399 to 187,084). Compare that to Texas and Florida which each saw an estimated 2% increase- all three states bucking the trend nationwide.

(in Los Angeles it was a decrease of 5%)

according to the statistics in that report, CA now accounts for 24% of the nation’s overall homeless count (187,084 out of 771,480)

I can easily see New York taking this dubious mantle this time next year if their trend continues- they saw a staggering 50% increase from 2023 to 2024 and probably make up for the dramatic increase nationwide.

Just to clarify- the 2/3rds statistic in that video misinterpreted here represents the number of unsheltered homeless vs sheltered homeless in CA, not percentage of total homeless in the nation.

How does a guy making less than $250k buy a 9+ million home…with an LLC formed 2 days before the transaction?

The guy is slimmier than a used car salesman and Dems want to push him as their savior?

They pushed Harris too. Two worthless candidates. They'll hand the white house to the Republicans yet again by not realizing that neither was going to win. Makes no sense

He was rich before becoming governor. He made a number of investments as a young man that panned out. Whether his political positions helped any of those investments, I wouldn't know, but like maybe politicians, he had money before politics. Those same connections that help you in the business world get you pushed into politics.
