Nobody wants to watch 100 3s a game, lack of defense and no physicality.

I still watch the Rockets and probably always will, but I've used to watch other teams as well, nowadays none.

It's hard to take these articles seriously when the league is bringing in so much revenue and also have some large contracts over the next several years. The other issue is that as viewers we have so many more options now a days. We can't compare it to the 80s when options weren't as many. These regional networks also need to die. I'm paying $100 for FUBO TV this year to watch the Rockets, but for the past 4 years I had just been streaming for free when I could find them. I'm willing to bet most people rather just watch highlights on YouTube than pay that much a month. I think there is a deeper dive that needs to be done rather than the constant b****ing about viewership and team offenses taking more threes. It gets old.

Good for him, and boy did he and his team walk the walk yesterday. The NFL did itself and its players and fans no favors yesterday, LOL. Two teams clearly didn't want to show up.

The Play-In was a mistake. 20 teams essentially make the playoffs man. Twenty. Out of thirty. 66%. Made the regular season meaningless. It's how Joel Embiid can sit out half the season and still come back for the Participation Award that is the NBA Playoffs.

Early reports are the Netflix games were a grand slam home run. Actual numbers should be released sometime this week.

I originally thought this Netflix experiment would be a terrible move by the NFL.

Get used to watching Netflix and Amazon Prime for sports because they will continue growing in this segment.

OK, so not as lopsided as last year, but still a major beatdown by the NFL on the NBA.

I cluelessly thought the NFL was tossing their advantage in the garbage by going the Netflix route, but there you go. Now they have a bidder with a giant market cap at the table buying their product.

The NBA isn't in trouble at all because their TV revenues are guaranteed to increase annually until 2036. But it appears the NFL will be kicking sand into their faces on Christmas Day indefinitely.

Just a matter of time before the NFL adds a Christmas evening game to fully claim the day as their own.

Interesting that a company that historically hates giving their numbers . . .is not giving numbers :D

The NFL may be smiling due to ratings, but their decisions are making the sport worse. At some point things will backfire. There are a chunk of people who watched both Xmas games and TNF, and will be less likely to watch in the future due to having a terrible experience. Things are cyclical as you know. There will be a time where we are wondering why NFL ratings are declining, and you can start pointing to the shortsighted decisions that the NFL is making now. Get rid of TNF, only have games on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

I was a rabid NBA fan from 1981 till about 2007 or so. Then I noticed that I was caring less and less each season until I stopped watching almost completely about 5 or 6 years ago.

I am trying to get back into it because the Rockets are good again but this is just not the same game I loved to watch and it’s not the same game I grew up playing. I understand that the players, for the most part, are much better than the guys in the 80’s and 90’s but still it’s just too different and the players are little b****es. I am trying though. I want the Rockets to win. I have been watching a little bit this year and I will continue to try.
