I've been saying this for weeks.

So far he's proven to be the defensive version of Bill O'Brien with a much more pleasant demeanor.

But... Obriens teams never committed penalties like this ****. Just game crushing penalties one after the next. Take the Nico touchdown off the board again...then another on special teams to set us up at the 5 yard line on the final drive. Week after week after week. Doesn't matter because players know they won't be held responsible.

I said this months ago and I was blasted! Last yr was the honeymoon. This yr is the 2nd yr into this marriage and for it to work Demeco has to put his foot down or his team (woman), will start think thinking they can do anything at anytime.

That's why I was so adamant about sitting him and making him an example after that Minnesota game. That game was totally unacceptable. And he now leads the league in penalties.

To me, this game is his 2nd opportunity to MAKE A STATEMENT. This was totally unacceptable heading into the hardest stretch of the season....Player or Coach, somebody needs to be made an example of.

It became clear he is not acting like a head coach when he blamed the loss to TN on the defense. Coordinators never throw the other side of the ball under the bus, but you're a head coach now dude...the offense is ass and you have to call it out and hold the players and COACHES accountable.

Calling out the defense like that is unacceptable and he stands to lose the locker room because of it. The defense is the only reason they've won as many games as they have. The offense has yet to score a touchdown in the second half of a game or show any sense of consistency. How many penalties does the offense have compared to the defense? And when the defense does get a turnover, the offense ends up wasting it by kicking a FG or just not getting any points. Bad Bad look for Demeco.

Man, you hear his post-game remarks, pair that with whatever nonsense Ward is spewing, and now it looks like he’s lost the locker room? How do you even come back from that? If the players don’t trust him anymore, how is he supposed to lead them? This isn’t just about bad decisions; this is a full-blown disconnect. A leader who can’t rally the team has already failed. What’s the point if the locker room’s gone?
DeMeco is at a critical juncture as the season unfolds. The Bears fired Shane Waldron due to their offense’s inability to score consistently, and the Raiders let go of Luke Getsy after their fifth straight loss. Now, the Giants are on the verge of firing Brian Daboll amid their disastrous season. These are all struggling teams making desperate moves to fix what’s broken.
The Texans, however, are in a different category. They're expected to be competitive, not lumped in with perennial bottom-feeders. If DeMeco Ryans doesn’t take control and ensure the offense performs at the level expected of a team with playoff aspirations, the Texans risk sliding into that same “bad team” narrative. They can’t afford to wait while others are making bold, albeit messy, changes.
We’re 7-5, still leading the division, still in the playoff hunt, the sky is not falling. But if we lose to the ****ing Jags? Chicken Little might start warming up his vocal cords.

Has he lost control in 2yrs?? I don't know what's going on but tthings look bad. He won't discipline players for careless penalties, he won't make obvious changes to the coaching staff when needed, he won't cut players that need to be released or make adjustments.....maybe the party is over.

Demeco's weakness is he nor his OC make adjustments but his major flaws is he is STUBBORN.

I've said it before he's just like ALL of the other HCs that we've unfortunately had here in Houston. They're good/avg coaches but not great!

I fell for it too, I really thought he was the one and maybe this yr forces him to make adjustments.

    1) Figure out YOUR own identity, stop trying to be SF East.
    2) Fire Slowick and hire an innovative OC
    3) Trade Tunsil
    4) Cut Ward
    5) Draft or sign LEGIT DT
    6) Draft an OG
