Jabari benefits from Alpi, but drags the team down Edit: Bari's fine now. Alpi helped!

Completely agree about Sengun, Amen, and Bari. Those three fit like a glove. Just need an efficient scoring option at guard.

Bari is a ‘star in his role’ right now, he may be a key to breaking the offensive slumps against good teams. When Alpi is doubled he should be able to dominate with the midrange like he did at Auburn. Once he asserts himself on offense we could have a true big 3 along with Alpi and Amen.

In the end, Jabari is simply not as effective on the court as his replacements Tari and Amen. Both numbers and eyes reflect that. I get that fans like Jabari because in theory he's kind of an all-rounder, but he still needs to improve quite a bit to reach the status fans seem to think he's already reached.

I'll try to check for a stats update later. I suspect it looks better now.

He's definitely played better recently. If he continues to improve, I do think he can reach that status. I just feel clutchfans see him as more OG Anonuby level when he's closer to Chandler Parsons level.

Amen, sure. Tari has a long way to go to match Bari. Yes, I get that’s unpopular opinion on this board, but that’s how I feel at the moment. Tari can’t guard as many positions as Bari. Tari’s TS% has always been awful, which doesn’t make sense because he’s not tasked with much other than cleanup work. He is often injured and doesn’t often play more than 25 minutes. There is a high likelihood that Eason is the type to thrive with limited minutes and wouldn’t do well if asked to start and play 30+ mpg.

At 21 years old, OG was averaging like 7 points and 3 rebounds per game.

Well Tari's issue is injuries, so if you put him below Jabari who's pretty reliable, I won't argue against it. But when healthy Tari Eason has definitely had more impact on winning than Jabari. The thing is since when Tari is not coming into the game for Jabar it's always Amen, so regardless Jabari's on/off metrics are going to look worse in comparison.

Not sure what your point is. Because no reasonable person should think I was comparing all these players at the exact same age. This is made extra clear when the other comparison was Chandler Parsons, who wasn't even in the NBA until he turned 23. If you disagree with my assessment of Jabari so be it. But no need to make a post that is non-sensical.

What didn’t make sense is your post, especially if this is your criticism. So, you’re not standardizing comparisons? Then how does saying Bari is on Chandler Parsons level (a retired player) as opposed to OG’s level (a current player) make any sense whatsoever? Are you comparing Bari to Parsons’ best season v. OG’s current season? Parsons’ career v. OG’s…what? This type of comparisons are idiotic sans equalization, especially when comparing young players to vets.

The disparity in possessions is too great to draw any meaningful conclusions, other than Bari and Sengun are good together.

It's over 750 possessions where only one of the two is on the court. That's not a totally negligible sample size.

If you're not sure you could've asked. Or you could've made your own comparisons. You clearly understood what I was trying to say given how much you frequent basketball online forums, as well as purposely just mentioned OG's age 21 stats without any other context. No need to play coy.
