I say keep drafting good prospects until a real star becomes available or the summer of 2026 when you’ve got to make a decision on Cam. I’m now very optimistic about that Sun’s 2025 pick. My understanding is that there’s a huge drop off of talent after about the top 16 prospects. A late lotto pick is still plenty valuable, but see what happened last yr with the nets pick as a reminder that anything can happen. The lotto odds are flat and we could be picking higher. Yes we have a ton of young talent already, but if we keep drafting good players they will either contribute to our team or return real value in trade. No reason to be in a rush to trade our picks…at least not for another year or so.

This aged pretty badly. Nets winning so much they trades Dennis S just to lose more games, if we had their pick that would be in the 20s for sure. PHX on track to give us a lotto pick this draft having a 3 L streak and going 4/6 the last 10 games.

A Durant led team has never not made the playoffs when he’s been available. Y’all getting g ya hopes to high k the Suns pick. At some point phoenix will get their big 3. All together and they’ll go in a run. Phoenix will win around 45 games when it’s all said and done

45 wins would've landed them in the lottery a year ago. The West is loaded.

Aging ball dominant star wanting to go somewhere in a league currently being run by home grown young cores.

    Cavs
    Celtics
    Rockets
    Thunder
    Grizzlies
    Magic

Top 3 teams in each conference and not a single one with a disgruntled aging star on it.

Jimmy just worried about us money. This ain’t about competing. Miami doesn’t want to pay him what he wants so he wants out

I mean Butler's biggest issue is health and that he can't really carry a team for multiple games in a row or a full game. You don't need that with any of these teams. Teams like the Grizz, Magic and Rockets just need a closer to make shot in clutch time or end team cold spell.

I think he could be that for some of those teams.

Issue for Rockets, is the price. No need to trade for core players for 1/2 year rental. No reason to use $40+ cap space for that.
and he basically duplicates what many of the board is hoping Green and/or Whitmore will develop into. So bringing him basically says the team believe Green won't get there and that his contract was a mistake, and hinders Whitmore's development.

Totally agree with the uncertainty of our player development. But at the same time.. sometimes rookies can be too good and talented not to be giving playing time. I believe Harper is one of those can't miss prospects. Great size, strength, skill, IQ and confidence

They are more likely to lose one of their top three than have them altogether.

See what Durant led suns did last night. I’m supposed to believe that team is going to lose 40 games?

This trade made no sense unless they were using it to get durant which the suns were unlikely to do as the Suns are capped out and have no picks.

He has played in every game this season and they are 15-14. So they are projecting for a little over 40 if Booker and Durant stay healthy all year. Possible but not probable. I think they'll win between 45-50 if both stay healthy. If Durant goes down for a substantial amount of the season they will have to settle for play-ins at best.

Durant has missed a couple Of games already.

he’s only play 19 games. They’re 14-5 in those games. Y’all must forget who he is but lemme tell you about in . The suns have a winning percentage of .736 when Durant plays.

Do what? Durant has missed 10 games this season.

Suns this season with Durant : 14-5
Suns this season without Durant : 1-9

My bad. So he has missed 10 games already? Hmmmm. I'm not sure how that helps your argument. Booker and Beal have missed a few games already. Hmmmmm. If Durant gets hurt for a substantial amount of time which has been the norm for the latter part of his career. They will try and trade him and maybe Booker. The Phoenix picks are golden.
