This is on CJ more than anybody right now. He is missing open receivers left and right. Honest to God he looks like Brock Osweiler right now.

A frustrating part of this whole season is that we've been seeing this offensive inconsistency since the beginning of the season, and I've seen no attempt at trying anything to fix it...maybe they are incapable of that. I guess they thought just stick with the same stuff, and it will eventually work.

There is no creativity in play calling, we can't make a 3rd and short (as mentioned above), and CJ is off. I don't think I've ever been as pessimistic going into a postseason with any of the Houston pro sports teams as I am with this team.

Another thing- DeMeco has not been a very good head coach this year. I know getting to the playoffs your first two years is pretty good, but he hasn't shown me a whole lot this season.

They have one the worst offenses in the league for 2/3 of the season, a suddenly shaky QB, one adequate WR, an aging running back and an offensive line that is both overpaid and lousy. You know what the brain trust will do in the off-season? The Texans will hire a new offensive line coach and hope magic optimism dust will cover the rest.

I might watch Red One during the second half. Can't be worse than this.

Stopped watching, had it on pause. Just skipped to live on Netflix. Looks like I missed nothing. Offense doing nothing...

If the Texans played in any other division aside from the AFC South, BoB would have been gone years earlier and Demeco would be on the hot seat. There's nothing worse for a team long term than winning your division by default with 9 wins, which the Texans have done 4 times in the last 8 years.

This team has regressed to Season 2022.

Ah well... we enjoyed the 2023 fool's gold of a last-place schedule and meh expectations, while the rest of the league built the book on the new OC and his QB sensation.

I've learned that the Shanahan tree is, ultimately, a collection of also-rans; too bad you can't make a lateral hiring move, because if I'm the McNairs I would throw HC money at Ben Johnson to be the OC in the offseason. Cap Ryans can stay, but needs an old-school Assistant HC mentor-type NOT named Kubiak (Pete Carroll, maybe?) to help keep Stroud out of his own head and be a true field general.

    There's no crying in football.

I’ve never been more sick of a football team than this one. Not even the bad teams we’ve had. At least you knew those teams sucked. This team was supposed to be different. The entire thing is a disaster. Especially the CJ and the offense.

That team had zero expectations, sure they managed to underperform even that, but this year was AFCCG or bust coming in.

When you don't have a QB or O line, you might as well punt on 3rd down.

CJ is so scared right now, he is just panicking and throwing way too early.

The difference in this game is Lamar - he ain't scared of crap and can just use his legs to make something up - must be nice, we aren't beating them this way, ever.....game will be a 20pt loss for sure.

And CJ has had time to throw today, he is just stinking at it.....maybe time to get him some rest and put Mills in there just to let CJ find his confidence again.
