There was that one dude on YouTube saying during the draft process that Reed wasn’t a good 3 point shooter in HS. Hopefully he’s wrong
Even tho Reed as 1-6 from 3, I’m happy he took them. Was 19 minutes tonight the most he’s played in a game this season? I missed the game, how were these shots? Was the selection good?
His release is all over the place. It's like he's trying to be Reggie Miller when he needs to concentrate on just being a spot up shooter. Forget the screen, just get open and find the shot first.
No one can say that with absolute certainty. He might be okay, he might not. I do agree that saying he is a bust is too early of a call.
The first thing Reed has to start doing, in my unprofessional opinion, is to incorporate the old Harden pump fake and get to the line move into his game. That way he is possibly getting to the line while at the same time putting up more shots. He has to start doing this now! At least twice a game.
I haven't given up on Sheppard. He just doesn't have much experience playing against good competition. He needs to go down to Rio Grande and learn how to play against pros.
Looks like his shooting form has changed for the worse. He's now pretty heavily leaning forward, and there's a slight right-to-left turn when he's in the air during his jumper. That's not how he shot at Kentucky. He does need to slow tf down. Play some in RGV. Get his shooting form back. And then come back to Houston but still chill tf out.
I been saying this since the start. He aint ready shouldve stayed in college for a couple more years.
I didn't even realize it until the other night but he didn't shoot above 30% during the summer league or in preseason. That said the Rockets under Stone have generally done a pretty solid job with their draft scouting. I’d be surprised if they completely swung and missed with Reed so I’m still holding out hope.
The other top picks amen, Green, Smith have shown something when they first came into the league to justify avoiding gleague and we have folks wanting to send smith/green. Reed isn't getting much mins and does not look nba ready. Might as well send him down to the gleague for seasoning. Giving him spot mins here and there isn't very beneficial for him. His performance so far doesn't warrant additional mins either for a team competing for playoffs
Now he has been pretty much thrown to the wolves. Now this method is best but there is a huge negative. At some point this growing concern about Reeds play will soon turn into insults, hate and threats of violence.
Who stays in college when they can be a lotto pick and make millions? Common man, that’s a ridiculous take. Let’s use some common sense in some of these answers lol
Way too early to give up or anything, but when you can't do the 1 main thing you were drafted to do...? I am disappoint.
