NBA teams must respect player privacy.

Something strange going on with Eason.
    Needs to be watched.

And theyll (Tari/Whitmore/Jabari/Dillon) still get minutes when the dust settles.
Just no minutes for Reed and less for VanVleet.

D**n you are a hard sell. Lol.

If he's not available against Minnesota on Friday, then I'm officially concerned. That'll be nearly 2 weeks since the OKC game when he last played.

What worries me already is that last season he only played in 22 games. This year, he's at 24 games(in fairness, 2 of them were missed due to concussion protocol) and now suddenly the leg is acting up again. They can't hand a big extension to a guy who's only available 25-30% of the season.

Tyus Jones @ $3M (most paid by Suns) would be an excellent trade-off.

    12.8 pts.....49.8% (FG%)....44.1% (3P%).....6.7 Asts......1.0 stls.....1.1 TOV's in 32 minutes

Suns are on the verge of collapse.....on the bubble at 11th in West

Yep, I think Booker might be willing to play in Houston.

Green can play PG/SG and Booker can play some
    PG/SG/SF.

I would still need some consistent 3-pt shooting
from positions SF/PF back up...... especially if I move Jabari to Small Ball Center at times and Booker starts at SF.

I"ve cooled off on Booker and don't want Fox. I think before we do anything we should see if Amen and Jalen can be our future backcourt. I believe that FVV is more a detriment to our offense than anyone else and that Amen just needs experience to be a superstar PG.

Im not worried about teams below the Rockets in the standings.

It's teams above the Rockets that utilize Small Ball lineups of death.

They can match us in defense for defense.....but they also use Small Ball
to have top 5 offenses. That's where it's no contest. We bring a knife to
    a gun fight.

Booker is down this year from 3 (34.5%); but basketball-reference.com Booker
has played 60% of his minutes at SF. Around 35% at SG.

So maybe guarding bigger SF's has effected his 3P% ( Booker).

    ______________________________________________
here comes some of my great graphics

    ____________________________O ( Rim)______________________

    X ( Dillon 38.4%)..........#.................#..............................X (Jabari 36.3%)

    ...............(Sengun) X ...#....................................#

    ......................#....o
    ................(JG4).X.........................................X (Vvleet 29.5%)

Weak side defender splits the middle of both shooters and guards both (shooters)

    _______________________________________________________________

    ________________________0 ( Rim )___________________________

    X (Booker 40.9%)..........................................................#.......X (Jabari 36.3%)
    ......#
    ................(Sengun) X.#................................#
    .............................#
    ..................(Green)Xo...................................X (Tyus Jones 44.1%)

The spacing just changes so much when you have multiple above average shooters from
three. Booker is 40.9% on corner 3's. Green would be killing it and with less clutter in the
paint be far, far more efficient. Passing lanes become more clearer. Udoka could
run some movement without the ball as Cavs are doing.

Maybe we should sell high on Tari when he comes back. He is one of my favorite Rockets, but the injuries are becoming concerning and I don't think I would want to tie up a bunch of money with him. The lack of communication on his status is highly concerning given what happened last year. We also have other guys that will need to be paid at some point.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/rockets/article/tari-eason-injury-update-20001746.php

The change in his status leading up to Thursday’s decision indicated there has been improvement. But Rockets coach Ime Udoka said “he still has some soreness.

“We’re going to wait until that dissipates all the way and he’s 100%. So, felt better, did more work today, possibly for tomorrow. He still has some soreness we want to get rid of.”

Eason began this season playing limited minutes, but did not miss a game until he had to sit out two games this month while in the concussion protocol and then missed the first four games when his workouts after the NBA Cup break brought back the soreness in his lower left leg.

The ongoing uncertainty after the decision Thursday, heading into a back-to-back and with one off day before playing again Sunday, has become the routine. It remains unclear if he will return to a load management program, limiting his minutes or how often he will play. But he said he will adjust to whatever is necessary.

“You never know,” Eason said. “I’ve never dealt with a situation like this, other than it just being another form of adversity. So, I didn’t know necessarily what to expect.”

He was sure, however, that when he plays, he will be well enough that he will not hold anything back.

“I like to play to the best of my ability, 100%, leave it all out there on the floor,” Eason said. “So, … every time I get on the floor, that’s what I’ll do. I’m not holding anything back.”

complete quotes to read more what Eason is thinking

“It’s hard, you know, mentally,” said Eason, who had been upgraded to questionable to play Thursday against the Pelicans but was still held out. “It kind of can sometimes take a toll on you just with the in, out and playing through injury, playing through pain, stuff like that. But all in all, I just try to remember that I am blessed. And you know, there’s a lot of people who would wish to be in the situation that I’m in, where I’m struggling, coming back from injury and stuff like that.

“I got the best trainers in the world around me. I got world-class NBA facilities and treatment. So, I know that if I just trust that process … I’ll be all right.”

He knew more than that. Perspective was not lacking, but reinforced, a reminder of greater struggles.

“It’s been my first major surgery, like really injury,” Eason said. “So, mentally it has its ups and downs. But we went to the children’s hospital a couple days ago, and that just puts everything in perspective. It is hard, but there’s much harder things, much harder battles that have been fought right now. So, we put that into perspective.”

Honestly if the season ended today I'm offering him that contract we gave KPJ, take it or go to RFA. This is just getting too concerning.
