Started watching Juror #2...couldn't finish it. Not sure if it was the movie or the subject. I don't like these kind of "more realistic" moral quandaries. Murder and terrorism I can handle. Shows about affairs, drug dealing, guilt, and making moral decisions? Nope. Too suspenseful. e.g. The Affair. Tried watching The Agency but was too distracted and 3/4 of the way into the first episode I decided I needed to restart and pay the f attention. Finished Season 3 of The Bear. Meh. There's just too much nothingness in each episode. But it makes me hungry. Watched a few episodes of Goliath, oh no, different/same Billy Bob show, Landman. It has very similar vibes. Billy Bob plays the same character in everything now. It's not bad. But they did my man MP wrong. IYKYK Watched La Palma, a Norwegian mini series on Netflix about a family vacationing and a potential catastrophic volcanic eruption and tsunami. Not the worst show. A bit ridiculous with the plot at times. But it's well-filmed, good acting and good English overdub. I usually can't watch foreign films because I'm bothered by the lips not matching what I'm reading/hearing. Watched a few episodes of Lioness yesterday. Now this is intriguing. Spy thrillers are my favorite. I recommend this one. I think it's on Paramount.
The Agency is really good, but like you said it's not an action show and you really need to pay attention (I also recommend Slow Horses). Day of the Jackal is also really good and is kind of the opposite. I too am a sucker for spy thriller type stuff. I tried Lioness and it's just not for me. Same with Landman. Tyler Sherridan needs to slow his roll and instead of making 43 mediocre shows simultaneously, focus a bit on making 1 good one at a time. He's done some amazing stuff in the past (Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River, etc)
I forgot about Slow Horses. I watched season 1. I’ll check out Jackal. I didn’t realize he did SicAario. I just watched 1&2 again the other day. That’s my second favorite type of movie. Righteous Vengeance.
Slow Horses is worth it just for the scene where the cops are yelling at Gary Oldman to get out of his car while he's sitting inside getting stoned and singing along to "I would walk 500 miles"
Gf and I just finished watching Laid (the US version) and it was entertaining. All of season one's episodes are available on Peacock. I would give it 7.5-8 out of 10. We plan on giving the original Australian series a try. That was from 2011 and only had two seasons.
We agree. We watched the two seasons already and are anxiously waiting to see if there's a season three.
Just finished the last season of What We Do In The Shadows. Hilarious to the end. Wish they kept it going.
Started watching Dune series, boring as hell.... Not sure I will be able to finish first episode.....
Flew through A Man on the Inside on Netflix this week, really enjoyed it. Ted Danson is surprisingly good in it, as is the rest of the cast. highly recommend it
Have you watched beyond episode 1? Does it get better, I was looking forward to it but could not care for characters...
Looked up the trailer, at first I thought it was like Johnny English but its just about an old dude undercover in a senior citizen living place?
