[BREAKING] Tari Eason Mom bishing at Ben Dubose on twitter

I expect this is a combination of a wiser Eason and the Rockets doing a little load management. I imagine it is a partnership.

I love Tari. Personally though, I think his floor and ceiling are the most defined of any of our young guys. He is going to be a very very effective player. Unlikely to be a star but someone who has a tremendous impact on D and is impactful in spurts on offense. I think he ends up shooting around 37% on the 3 ball. Probably a top 5 3 and D guy in the league.

I’m gonna say this and a lot of people are going to jump on me.


I’m not a big fan of these parents that try to make themselves celebrities on the backs of their athletic children. Maybe celebrities is not the right word, but I would be curious to know about her foundation and all of that kind of stuff and how it actually looked before Tari was a college basketball player.

I might be completely off base here and I am probably the *******. Maybe it just comes down to me hating social media.

 

It’s not embezzling when you spend your entire life caring for the person. I’m personally happy for her Tari. I would love for one of my children to make that sort of money. I just really wouldn’t want to be a social media character on the fringe of their life.

I don't think they are arguing.

 

It didn't really come across like an argument to me, she was just trying to say her son isn't really hurt.

 

1) Why? She isn't on the team, why does it matter what she says about her son?

2) Emotional? Just seemed like a standard tweet to me, pumping up her son.

This seems like absolutely nothing from both sides. I've just wasted 3 minutes of my time.

 

He is a long-time member of this board under the name "TheCat', the original voice of Locked On Rockets, and still appears as a guest. I believe he's also the Rockets writer for USA Today.

I've always liked him and I'm not sure what the big deal is about him being concerned about Tari's injury.

I'm dumber for having read this thread. This is Tari's mom. M O M. Have you not seen her "emotional" excitement when things are good? Why are some of you isolating "emotional" in this negative vacuum? This is her default.

If anything, the people thinking this is anything more than an excitable parent (who, once again, has proven repeatedly to be an excitable parent) are invoking an emotional response to her tweet. Reality is quite literally the opposite of what you perceive.

Hilarious. Last time in this thread for me. Won't miss it.
