Young? It's already his 8th season. How many playoff series did this "star" win already? Let's wait till some actual star becomes available.
Folks panicking, I hope we don't give the whole kitchen sink for him. Man isn't doing much with an Inferior sengun, I doubt he moves the needle for us. Not everybody can buy into ime defense

I was being sarcastic with that offer. If you've seen my other posts, I have no desire for Fox unless he was dirt cheap in regards to our assets and I recognize he won't be. I don't think we should do anything drastic in regards to trade until one of Booker, Lamello, or Ant become available and I'm not really sure we will be in that game either. In the meantime, I think adding some shooters around the perifiary would be helpful, but we can be contenders with the our young core. We just need to replace FVV with Amen and for Ime to change his offensive rotations and mind-set. I think the upcoming schedule starting Dec. 29th through January, will dictate some changes from both Ime and the organization. I just hope the organization doesn't panic and waste their assets on aging or mid-tier stars at max money.
Lamelo, Amen and Sengun? And Green probably? Amen will never touch the ball man, I hope they don't do something like that. Ant would be great but never being traded. Booker a perfect fit but I don't know if he's worth 4-5 picks. I think his next 3-4 years will be in decline compared to his last 3-4 years. I want a two way player who can shoot if we're paying 4-5 picks. I don't have an issue with Fox/Green/Amen creating the fastest 1/2/3 trio in NBA history but with Sengun's inability to shoot and Udoka's sub-par offensive coaching it's impossible to make successful. Any lesser shooting than we currently have is a death sentence in net rating at this point. I think Udoka really needs a fresh voice in the locker room. It's so rough watching this offense and even if people watch us once or twice on national media they immediately notice it too. Don't tell me it's the personnel. We are not the 2nd/3rd least talented offensive team in the NBA (we are the 2nd/3rd worst TS% in the NBA), that's absolutely bullshit. Ime is flat out killing it on defense and flunking on offense but overall an A. He's had a year and a half with basically the same squad, is it a lot to expect for us to be better than 28th or 29th? Come on. It's going to be hard to get him to remove the training wheels (Brooks and FVV) when the time is right and we're getting near. Loved seeing Amen and Green backcourt a few games ago, moreso because it totally democratized the offense and the ball was moving a lot. Sengun is totally capable of playing fast too. I think Fred is a good guy but he is using his seniority in a biased way unintentionally. He's playing to his and Brooks' advantage and they are isolating Sengun with them. IMO we have not seen the full offensive potential of this young team till we have decent spacing and are more aggressive in pace/transition to suit our personnel.
I think Fox would be the wrong choice for us, we should wait for Lamelo or Ant.Until then, we should focus on development.
18-9. Over optimize at your own peril. Udoka is doing something very right. 2nd best defense in the NBA playing toddlers. Stop trying to change Udoka. We need players to develop and get better, the coach is R2G.
Talk to me on Feb. 1 and we will see how you feel. They will be favored in 4 out of 17 games starting Dec. 27th thru Jan. 31. If we go .500 during that stretch then we are for real. Even though we should never stop trying to improve and set up ourselves up for the next two years when we have the potential to be actual contenders not just a Play-off or Play-in team. I love how this team is setting up for the future, but our half-court offense is putrid and Ime has a lot of work to do on that end. I hope he's up for it.
Wow. Lamelo? Really? Never really thought about him as a max guy. But really never thought about him at all. I think his dad's antics put my brain on "ignore" where the Balls were concerned. I'll give him another look.

So I am reading people want Ime to have a better half court offense, but then don't want to give him a guard that can run a half court offense. Right now, the Rockets offense dies when FVV leaves the court despite people's frustrations with his shooting. I want the Rockets to try to win this season. Mostly, I think there is a decent chance that the Rockets young guys improve again next season and the Rockets need to work out some playoff kinks this year. When I watch a lot the older teams, I just don't think they can play 82 games. Maybe the Rockets falter after looking really good the last 60 or so games.I just think the odds are better that the older teams falter more.
His issue is injury problems. 50/5 is a huge risk but I would take it. He is also one of the most fun guys in the league to watch.
