Its kinda weird reading the thoughts about Fox. Almost like a Rorschach test on the board. All over the place. Not a bad thing. Just observing.

I vote for seeing what happens this year and going after either Fox or Booker in the offseason. Give all the Phoenix chips, Jalen, Cam, and contract filler to make it work. Wouldn't touch Sengun, Tari, Amen, Jabari, or Reed.

My first impression is that Fox isn't good enough despite his good numbers. But he did lead the league's highest rated offense two years ago alongside Sabonis. And guys that are true superstars probably won't be available at all. I wouldn't target him but he might be the best option for our window.

Looks like San Antonio might be in on him.

If we trade for Fox, that pretty much casts the team in stone. Assuming Jalen is part of that trade, we’d be looking at a core of Sengun, Bari, Amen, Tari and Fox. That’s a lot of non-shooters. Fox is a 33% career 3pt shooter. He’s a career 55% on true shooting, which is below league average. For sure he’s a scorer but he is not the max player we need around the rest of our core. Not a great fit. He was basically Jalen a couple years ago.

That is a massive overpay for Fox, but maybe for Booker. I’d try the same deal for Lamelo first.

Of course no indication he’s remotely available

Unless Booker or ANT demands a trade, Fox is about as good as we can expect to cash in our picks for.

Jalen, Cam, PHX picks for him in the summer.

I’d rather have someone that can shoot.

The fact that he can actually dribble and pass means he was never anything like Jalen. That alone makes us better, problem with Jalen is he can't shoot but he also can't dribble or pass. Fox also id one of the best finishers in the paint and is elite at drawing fouls.

People are just desperate for change and Fox seems gettable. Stone didn’t create all this flexibility and amass all these picks for a one time all-star that has one elite skill set and is below average at the skillset we desperately need. Again, if we can get him for something reasonable it is worth a shot, but it is also a risk that it sets back the development of Amen who is the future superstar we have all been hoping for.

nah. no need to rush to trade for Fox, not when TWolves are imploding. They made a horrible trade for Randle which completely ****ed up their team.

Ant is talking to reporters after every game as if he wants out. The funny thing is, we can actually get both of them. Sign Fox in free agency and trade for Anthony Edwards when he asks out.

I agree with you here. I would take fox but not for all our assets. I would trade much more for booker and ant as they solve a greater need.

Match made in heaven but I doubt Stone has the cojones to pull the trigger.

we could fleece Sac since Jalen is from the area and they might actually want his contract

Jalen for Fox straight up then. I'll even throw in a couple of 2nds.

Stone had the cojones to rebuild this roster in less than 4 years. Dillon Brooks? Nobody on earth should question Rafael Stone if you were wrong about the direction he took after Harden

They're not trading Fox for Jalen and 2 2nds. More like Jalen and 2 firsts. Maybe if Jalen turns it around between now and deadline I guess he can raise his trade value.

Not that I'd trade 2 picks to get Fox under Udoka on a shooting-challenged roster, but they will certainly get that from some team. Hell, Phoenix has 2 mediocre picks to trade they can trade Beal and 2 picks - Kings can ride out the Beal's 2.5-year contract while they tank. Now they have Fox to attack the rim not needing to take 3's while Booker and Durant space the hell out of the floor and Budenholzer designs a beautiful offense around them. I'd pay 2 picks to bring Fox into that kind of situation. That's the exact opposite of our situation though.

Fox and FVV just can't play together and play the same position, it would be crazy to be paying them a combined $80m+ anyway. If it were Fox, I'm sure FVV goes out. I doubt FVV will be traded in the middle of our first winning season - it would take months for the team to adapt to someone else and a new offense.

I would like to think of a way to get Fox here but I'm afraid we have to wait till the summer and hopefully Sengun/Green/Amen show progress on their 3PT shots so we can stop having our hands tied in these situations.
