Now learn after this season that you don't win **** during the off-season. What is your roster and team Outlook at the end of the regular season going into the playoffs... THATS WHAT MATTERS
That's why Bond or Evan Stewart have to be Texans. We're going to the playoffs with the same receiving options as last year. One of the main reasons they traded for Diggs was to avoid that situation. NfL can be cruel. Dalton looked like he was playing pattycakes again on some blocks I like that Stroud trusted his line more and they moved the pocket for him also should have been done earlier in the season
Not as frustrating as the Oilers. Unlike the Texans, the Oilers had uber talent at every position on both sides of the ball. They were a true Super Bowl contender that had heartbreaking playoff losses, The Texans get blown out in the playoffs and never truly stand a chance at going deep because they don’t have the personnel or the coaching.
A lot of folks here criticizing the Texans coaching staff for the shortcomings this season; this isn’t to excuse them of their mistakes but you really can’t teach experience. Demeco, Bobby and CJ are all still VERY young by NFL standards in their respective positions. There will be growing pains and we’re seeing them every week this year. We had some beginner’s luck last year that gave us some high expectations but the team is definitely coming back down to Earth this season. Besides, you don’t learn from winning, you only learn when you lose and fall flat on your face, which we have done time and again this year. I’m still optimistic about this team going into the future - sucks we lost to the Chiefs today and losing Tank the way we did, as well as the ref attack the first half but based on how disappointing the Texans have been the majority of the 2 decades I’ve been watching them, I’m still hopeful for the future because we have CJ.
Chiefs didnt come after him for 2 quarters.. It has to be mind blowing to a coach to play millionaires and they not able to line up on the ball correctly and get a false start and how many delay of games did they have, Throwing screens ot seems Stroud doesnt have any zip on the ball, the defense gets set, his receiver is in jeopardy of getting his bell rung. Whats up with that, Dont need a throw with finesse there When you start out with a int with a team like KC that has to mess with your head,
I'm not saying not to fire him but they better bring in a veteran playcaller. Klint Kubiack (not a vet but the saints offense looked good until Carr turned into a pumpkin) will be available, I'd also look at Josh Mcdaniels
Dalton can’t block worth s*** When he’s dropping passes, he’s just a black hole on offense for this team
I agree with that. We need to scratch the coulda woulda shoulda. That's the last step, right? And then from there, you start getting to the AFC championship game and beyond. I think we need better o line play, better coaching, and better QB play. CJ has been good, but not win a Super Bowl good this year.
Yeah we came into the year thinking we had the best WR core in the NFL or one of the best and its now wittled down to pretty much the same as last season. We have to consider Tank's career might be in jeopardy or at the very least he'll miss a lot of the season next year. Diggs is washed, so he can't be considered right now. Going to need another playmaker. Also Schultz is very replaceable. First pick needs to be offensive lineman or a WR or at least one of our big FA acquisitions. On defense the holes are not that evident, need better DTs though for sure. The defense is fine, people are going to whine about it this game but they made enough stops for the offense to score off, even got a stop on downs and the offense went three and out after Slowik ran one of his stupid WR screens that didn't work once this game.
