I don't blame them, name any defense with a pulse that is scared of our ground game on a consistent basis? Yeah, Mixon can get loose on occasion just because of how good he is, but it feels like 75%+ of his runs are stopped within 1 yard of the LOS.
If that was possible, sure. However, the offense has to get going for us to advance. We aren't the Ravens SB defense and CJ is talented. He needs to get it together
Even the first TD to nico he had Dare wide open at the goal line. Don't get me wrong, on a scramble drill I will bet my paycheck the ball will end up in Nico's hands, but it is starting to look like CJ is honing into Nico a little too much. He needs to do what the greats do, wait for you to play Nico and then utilize the open man instead. Thats why it always feels like some no-name WR is killing us when we play those better QB'd teams.
He seems to get overly focused on the flashy long ball and has talked about it before, mentioning that he needs to learn to tone it down while still keeping an eye out for opportunities. It’s about finding that balance—his 'happy place' in between. I wish I could find the clip where he discussed his conversation with Brady, as they covered this sentiment. It is something he is trying to learn this season which could be leading to some of his indecisiveness.
CJ is the ticket. But for the first time in our history we finally have an identity that we can hang out hat on. We’re a lot like last year’s Baltimore team once Azeez comes back.
2015 Broncos. Team struggled with the change to the Kubiak scheme but their defense allowed a 76 passer rating. Texans allowing 79. Denver: Sacks 52, Houston 45 (with 2 real games to go)
I remember the clip with Brady . He's just needs to get his touch back. Metchie should have caught that deep ball. I do think he'll figure it out. Unfortunately it's in a playoff race right now
Agreed, I am not sure if he is gun shy from earlier in the year, a bad game plan (OC) that doesn't utilize his strengths or he had regressed or a combo of all 3. It's not like he is playing horrible, but he set the bar very high last year and then came the hyperbole that we could win a SB..............pressure maybe? Whatever the case is and if this continues and we get bounced after 1 playoff game, I think he will self-reflect and hopefully we get a new OC and an upgraded O Line for next year......................and maybe, just maybe, tone down all the traveling and pod casts in the off season and work on your craft. Go hang with Tom Brady and see what it takes to be the true GOAT, its hard work 24/7 365 in today's NFL With that said, I won't be shocked to see CJ go off this weekend
This is what I see. Shanahan, WCO-lite is going to ruin this QB. Not only do I hope we get rid of Slowik, I hope we get someone with an entire different outlook offensively.
