Missed this about the Queen's Gambit a few years back, but thought this was pretty cool. Carlsen is the chess GOAT and world champion for a decade since age 19 for those who haven't heard of him
Watching 'The Kings of Tupelo' documentary on Netflix. It's similar to Tiger King and it's off the charts so far
Just finished Season 3 of The Bear. Holy bore fest. just turned on The Agency on Showtime. Hadn’t heard of it till just now. I hope it has Homeland (early seasons) vibes. God that show was so good the first two seasons.
I'm rewatching LOST on Netflix. These dude were really sending us nowhere with the endless mysteries, but boy was it entertaining. this **** still holds up at the end of 2024
Even more so, because the world is full of shet and conspiracies. They do not have to get lost on an island but they could get lost in the city nowadays.
finished white lotus a bit ago - 7/10 good show, tho the 1st season was better. the 2nd season with the whole misdirection of who died didn't work out too well in terms of fooling us. i am excite cus 3rd season coming in febuary will feature lisa blekpink. i'm not too excited about the ghey theme they will inevitably have tho. 1st season, alexandra dedario can geddit. 2nd season, theo jems can geddit.
The Devil's hour: Checked it out after seeing the last couple of replies. somehow I woke up at exactly 3:15 am after watching the first two episodes. I began my research to see if people really wake up at that hour? Reddit is a fantastic library. As it turns out, everyone has a creepy story to share. One even had a story about his relative waking up and committing suicide at that hour. I'm like yeah right. Dude is just practicing his creative writing. Post was 2 years before the show even aired. The mind is full of mysteries. Up into the 90s the CIA researched remote viewing. On to episode 3.
I started watching House. It's a stupid ass show. But I'm watching it because I'm a stupid ass. The doctors break into every single patient's home to tear down the walls to try to find what's making the patient sick. The doctors also do literally everything: blood draws, temperature checks, etc. I've only ever seen a nurse summoned to clean up blood on the floor. Meta storylines that span multiple episodes and seem like they're going to be really consequential get abandoned at the drop of a hat. (Cuddy trying to get pregnant, House being targeted by the crooked cop, etc.) House, as a character, has zero development. He doesn't change or adapt or learn anything, ever.
Started the Mr. Beast Games. Think the events are decent enough to entertain, and the event staging is very good like the squid games, but production has a way to go to make it compelling. I don't care about anyone yet. And a lot of this has to be staged for tv, which is fine, but don't tell me some girl jumped off the stage saving them a million dollars, they give her nothing of the money she stepped off for, and that wasn't pre-planned. Seemed way to convenient. Still, I like the concept of betrayal in a reality show. And this show does it. But I have to root for or against people at some point please.
...but can he beat the other HOF Magnus in a fight? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnús_Ver_Magnússon
what just happened that caused you to watch this and me also to watch this (after watching it as a kid 20+ years ago) Its insane stuff, they always find some environmental/toxic cause but still way more medically relevant than all the other crap hollywood pumps out (which says alot)
