They had their Edmonds, Pujols and Rolen on the Cover of ESPN magazine a couple weeks ago saying they are the best team in the league and hopefully that will jinx them enough.
i'd prefer to go into the series with our rotation set differently but bottom line is oswalt and clemens will still be able to pitch a total of 4 games in that series if it goes 7. nothing in their rotation comes even close to that deeper or not. i don't think either team is a clear favorite and definitely i hope these "experts" eat some crow soon.
I think in all honesty that he is going to show up tomorrow and pitch a great game or at least keep us in the game.
Yeah, but Woody Williams doesn't scare me the way our guys are swinging the bats. I'm fine winning a 9-7 slugfest.
yeah, although it's not all that bad though he's nearly had 4 days rest plus we'll give backe more rest if he pitches later on in the series.
Not too worried about Backe since he is a younger guy i think he will be pitching on adrenalin and rest....so he should be just fine in that situation. If was an older pitcher we might have had problems.
so is it best of 7 now? Or is it still best of 5? Man, it's been so long since I have watched the post season in Baseball.
We have to do damage when we get the Cards here in Houston. Damn Braves stopping our home win streak at 20 IIRC.
How long will the series last, and who will win? Just wondering where every1 in the BBS stands. I personaly see the 'Stros taking it in 6 or 7 games. What about u?
We do it in six....Beltran again MVP and Clements, Backe and Roy-O make the THIRDNALS look stupid for letting Tavarez ruin their karma by talking $h*t.... Cardnials pitching...OWNED
say how come the houston chronicle predictied that the cardinals will win it in six???? thats messed up man
because they do have the best chance of winning.. remember we are the underdog. learn to love it. it makes it so much more fun when we win.
You can tell which series ESPN has been paying attention to, particularly Mike Wilbon. He's picking St. Louis, because Munro is the only starter not going on short rest. Way to do your homework, Wilbon. Let's see...Clemens pitched Sunday. He's pitching again Saturday. Yeah, he's right...Munro is the only rested guy that's going to pitch. I don't care who they pick...but at least take your eyes off the Yanks and Sox for a few minutes and think before you speak.
