In the article it says the cardinals were willing to pay enough of his salary that I believe his AAV would’ve been around 13 million. Would’ve been fair considering his production but my concern is what we’d have been sending out to get the Cards to pay that.

On the flipside, I think we were just trying to get a solid defensive stopgap option on a short term cheaper deal (assuming the Cards paid off more of his salary). I'm hoping this will make us a bit more aggressive trying to get Breggy back if they can find some middle ground. 7/$185M perhaps?
Arenado for $45M/3yrs would have been a good value provided Houston wasn’t sending any of their top 7-8 prospects to get him. I am slowly getting more optimistic that Bregman may be back, whether because he’s hurt and needs an emergency pillow contract or because he and his wife just decided they want their kids’ formative years to be stable and in the same city where daddy works, and that’s worth $20M+ to them.
He clearly doesn’t. Not sure he knows whats best for this team. Not impressed with his attempted panic move today.
As I said last week, Nolan didn't include the Astros off his no-trade list for a reason and I think it begins with him wanting to be either on the East or West coast to live.
I’m fine with arrenado if Bregman leaves. He’s a gold glove caliber fielder and has some pop still. Assuming the cardinals paid a decent amount of his salary. He’s a much better option than (pukes in mouth) polanco
