Sure keep playing dumb. Keep railing against us getting anybody while shipping out Jalen Green. As if that gets the Rockets better.
Charlotte doesn't have their 2025 pick. Lamello may have the single most valuable contract in the NBA given his age and skill level. I really don't know how they are so bad with two of the best young players in the league and not a horrible supporting cast. I think Lamello and Miller are untouchable, but anybody else on their roster (mulitiples) and future pick or two would be available for an unprotected lottery pick this year. Unfortunately, they really aren't a very good trading partner for us. Trey Mann wouldn't be bad for cheap.
Ditto. Ingram is a terrible idea. So is Lavine because of his contract and injury history. We just have to face it, any move we make this season will be tweeks along the edges.
Playing dumb? find me a post where I said I didn't want Giannis. Giannis is a top 2 player in nba. Everyone should want him and figure out what to do later. But if you are pairing Jalen with Giannis it wouldn't work cuz Jalen can't shoot at all. How do you not see Jalen is our problem? Just replacing him with Amen would make us instantly better. don't even know why this is a conversation cuz Milwaukee ain't trading him,
2025 Offseason Rockets in: James Harden, Jimmy Butler Clippers in: Jalen Green Heat in: Fred VanVleet, Cam Whitmore Rockets get (ex) superstar backcourt with a boost in offense with similar defense Clippers get a young athletic player with All Star potential likely to re-sign end of contract Heat get veteran champion point guard and an athletic young player w/ potential
LOL. Imagine we break up our young core to get not just one washed up players, but TWO! CFers will riot for sure.
They are NBA old but both players can still produce at elite levels. Rockets will likely have to make choices on which of the young core to pay and stay. Jalen Green has up and down productivity. He may need a change of scenery (California native) with an offense that caters more to his skillset. Kawhi is breaking down and will need a new franchise player sooner rather than later. Cam Whitmore is not getting any playing time in Houston and likely has a better shot in Miami with Butler's departure. Plus the Rockets have the 2025 1st round pick swap with the Suns that would add back youth in the team.
Any interest in MPJ? Pair him with Smith and that’s a lot of shooting and size you’re adding to our starting unit.

True... not sure if BRK wants that salary... I am also not sure which star they are after in the off-season... it would almost certainly have to be a trade as most of the big names won't hit free agency... I am genuinely intrigued
Jackson, from LOR, brought up a few more interesting names too add to the existing players being discussed to trade for with our expiring contracts. John Collins & CJ. Both guys will be on expiring contracts next year, so we kick the can a year to the right while also picking up a guy who can help this season. We don't want to let the guys on expiring contracts walk in FA as we would lose trade flexibility; expirings are valuable as trade fillers.
I like the McCollum trade but not the trade for John Collins. I don’t think Collins really addresses the issue the Rockets are having.
He does not address the primary issues on offense, but a stretch small ball 5 shooting 43.6% from three who can play above the rim wouldn't hurt.
