Booker or Fox are the only good options. It’s not many young difference makers in the league atm.

I'm not a capologist but I think it's possible cause I don't recall there is a trade restriction in place.

That said, it's a functional restriction, not a technical one. The problem is Jalen is still on a rookie contract so if you trade him now, the receiving team is on the hook for his subsequent extension and that would blow up most teams cap next season. On the Rockets side, in order to match Butler's salary, the Rockets would have to unload a bunch of other contracts in a 4x1 kinda deal. That said, the Rockets have the assets to pull it off in the likes of Tate, Landale, Jeff Green, Adams, etc. But it's tricky.

All that said, every year NBA GMs seem to pull of some wizardry with a 6 team trade with cash considerations and expiring contracts.

Jimmy Butler is a hard pass. Tyler Herro ticks more boxes IMO

Rockets should be looking to trade for Zion Williamson. I honestly think he just hates playing for the pelicans.

The minute he gets traded to a good team you’ll see a young, healthy and motivated Zion.

A fat guy who can’t shoot is exactly what this team needs.

Well after further thinking about it, if you insert Butler in place of Jalen Green, a lot of the Rockets problems get solved. And the Rockets may just become a consensus top 3 team.

But I fully still think that Jalen Green in the right team will be a multiple allstar. So I would hate parting with him.

But I would not give up more than Jalen Green for Butler. Or perhaps a Reed and Cam Whitmore package for Butler.

Nevertheless, I think the Heat were initially trying to extort the Rockets, and why Butler all of a sudden is willing to increase the number of teams he’d be fine for a trade.

Joel Embiid(31 in March): perpetually injured
    Zion Williamson(24): perpetually injured
Brandon Ingram(27): barely all-star, in last year of deal, current team doesn’t want to pay him
    Zach LaVine(30 in March): fringe all-star, history of injuries, bad contract (24-25: $43,031,940 | 25-26: $45,999,660 | 26-27: $48,967,380 (PO))
Jimmy Butler(35): 35 years old, going into last year of deal (will reportedly decline PO), current team may not want to pay him
Trae Young(26): fringe all-star, shooting numbers this year very similar to Jalen’s

    Then role players (or teams may be looking to dump) like Capela(ATL), Cam Johnson/Dorian Finney-Smith(BRK), the Bogdanovic’s, D’Angelo Russell(LAL), Murray/McCollum(NO), Simons/Grant/Ayton/Williams(POR), Brown(TOR), Huerter, Collins/Clarkson/Sexton(Utah), Poole/Brogdon/Kuzma/Valanciunas(WSH)

Tyler does not appear to be on the trading block, but hey, we can get almost 36 year old Jimmy Butler (@J.R.).

Please let the Suns interest be true, KD & Butler, that’s not going to end well.

Was it reporterd that the Suns were interested in Jimmy? I had only heard Jimmy was interested in Phoenix. Only way that deal gets done is if Beal is shipped out, and I fail to see Miami entertaining any trade packages centered around Beal.

If this did happend, this would potentially accelerate Phoenix's timetable. Picks would be looking real sweet.

Multiple sources have said JG cant be traded due to the poison pill restriction. Maybe you should try in trade machine and see if it works.

We can trade other people for Butler but not Jalen Green.

Yes. I'd be willing to give up a lot to get Tyler Herro. He only makes 25M for the next 3 yrs too compared to Booker or any other max player.
