Steven Adams is no longer good enough to be on an NBA roster. He is slow and will never see another 12 point+ game in his career. He’s done….finished. Jock is who he is which is a 3rd string NBA talent. We need a legit backup center before the day comes where we lose Sengun to injury as he is (sadly) almost 80% of this team’s offense. Robert Williams is the answer. Used to be legit for Udoka’s Celtics and would be just what we need to stop guys like Hartenstein (can’t believe I’m saying that) and others who have their way against us. Williams also brings much needed offense from the position. Rockets screwed up by not taking Edey, but it’s not too late to salvage the situation.
It would be a good way to fold some of our expirings into something we can still use next year and Rob Will can still protect the rim. But honestly I’d like to see Bari get more of the backup center minutes. I believe in his future as a switchable 4/5
I don't think backup 5 is the priority, and I think you're underselling Landale. I'm upset he hasn't gotten minutes this year and think he is a solid backup. Shooting in the backcourt in our 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority, not a 4th Center.
yes, we should trade for the guy who played 41 games the past 2 seasons and has already missed over half the games this year…
Typically, teams want athletic bigs to block shots, get boards and finish lobs. Our team is already elite defensively, so blocks and rebounds aren't really needed. The lobs would require someone to break down the defense first, which rarely happens. All of Stone's energy should go to fixing the 1 or the 2, the 5 is way down the list. Don't get me wrong, if it's a great deal, upgrade anywhere, but don't spend resources like picks to upgrade an already elite defense. We aren't losing games because of our defense.
Landale is awful man. He has terrible hands and can’t finish well around the basket. He’s a decent shooter from deep on some nights but hes at best a 3rd stringer.
This is the undeniable unquestionable truth… we need better shooters and bad. That said, it would be nice to have an athletic rim running backup who can throw down lobs at the 5. Robert Williams’ knees are toast unfortunately.
I agree with the sentiment. It would be nice to have an athletic backup at the 5 but Rob W aint that guy.
Shooting. Period. Hopefully, Ime will extend the minutes of Reed, and give some minutes from FVV and Jalen to Cam and the Aussie McVeigh. They are good shooters.
Again. The Rockets just need a 7 ft. 3 and D big man. Even if it's only just to rack up fouls. John Butler is that guy.
