Only their defense looks mediocre, but their offense is no joke. They've averaged 35 points the last 10 games, and playing in Buffalo is going to be tougher than beating them at home by 3 pts with Diggs, Dell, and Collins, with 23 points. They scare me more than anyone right now honestly, and I'm hoping to avoid them until the AFC Championship if we can make it that far. Either way, anything can happen and nothing would make me happier than knocking out Buffalo or KC. My biggest fantasy is a second half comeback to humiliate the Bills at home like they did to the Oilers years ago. To knock KC off their high horse would only add to the pleasure. Beating the Ravens wouldn't be as satisfying, but it would still be great.
Texans aren't catching the Bills, so they are already locked into 3 or 4 seed not much to play for, I wonder how they will manage these last three games
They should try to win the KC game (especially with no Mahomes), rest the players against the Ravens (fck NFL scheduling), and rest the final game also.
I think it is very, very unlikely that this season's Texans will make any noice in the playoffs. Truth be told, they haven't "looked good" in most games this season. Some would say, they have never really looked like last year's team. However, the playoffs are a different game, and it is "possible" that theTexan's could "find themselves" and do well. Could the new offensive line configuration progress? Could CJ finally feel "comfortable" again, find a groove. Could the defense take it to another level (already really good)? Possible??
yeah, I think Ryans will want to play his starters against KC and BAL to see where the team is at heading into the playoffs. I can see him resting everybody the last game of the season against the titans.
Yep. Beat KC. I don't think the Texans are making it past the Bills again but I'm rooting for the Bills to win it all. Texans are still a year or so from getting to the big game barring a late season streak.
I’m all in for letting our players rest but there are dudes on the team that have performance based incentives that I’m sure they’re gonna wanna hit. Forgot who it was last year but some dude on another team hit a $1 million incentive on the final week. So yeah would be a crappy move not to let guys hit those benchmarks and get paid.
Like I said, I don't expect to be favored to beat the Bills. But we weren't favored the last time and still did. I guess my whole point here is that, I get people not wanting to get their hopes up...but there is NO ONE who is unbeatable in this league right now.
The Ravens game will be interesting. They have the best rushing defense and worst pass defense in the league. It might get give CJ an extra boost of confidence if he can light it up against the worst pass defense in the league. Then rest him and our stars against the Titans, especially if they are nursing injuries.
I always have hope. If I didn't I wouldn't even bother watching any Houston sports teams, and especially the Texans. I've been waiting for Houston to win a Superbowl my whole life, and I'm old.
Until he doesn't again....how many weeks did we hear how Lamar Jackson had clearly found it and was unbeatable...only to watch him and the Ravens lose to the Browns? This is the story of the NFL this season...the team du jour that ESPN spends all week talking about being clearly the best...shows up the next week or a week or two after that and just lays an egg.
Bills defense is a weak spot, but no one is stopping Allen at this point. He’s had one subpar game and that was against us, before they started really getting rolling. Should be unanimous MVP, even with the numbers Lamar has
I know that Oilers game at the end of the year will be meaningless but man I would hate to lose to those bastards twice in a season.
There could honestly be a case made for either Lamar or Allen, and it might come down to the last 3 games as far as MVP. Their stats are very similar, but Jackson seems to have a bit of an edge, and leads in most categories, including CMP%, passing yards, rushing yards, total touchdowns (passing and rushing), TD/INT, and RTG. Jackson has a CMP% of 68.1 and Allen 64.4 Passing yards Jackson 3,580 and Allen 3,395 Jackson has 743 rushing and Allen has 483 yards TD/INT Jackson 34/3 and Allen 25/5 Rushing TD Allen 11 and Jackson 3 Fumbles lost Allen 0 and Jackson 4 Jackson RTG 120.7 and Allen 103.5 Jackson QBR 76.0 and Allen 79.4
Allen has far less to work with and leading his division. Situation plays a big role, the Bills were supposed to be average this year
Seems to me the ravens game is the one to phone it in on. We have 6 days to KC. Only 4 to the Ravens. Plus we most likely end up with Ravens in first round of playoffs.
