This team must avoid The Ravens in the playoffs. Steelers?……not as scary as 1st RD opponent

Doesn't matter what it looks like Brian will never get old. Not even a little.

Circle right back around. Bk in the playoffs! This time, the defense is legit.

Honestly pretty happy. We clinched the division early after going from a last place to a first place schedule, and going from playing the NFC South to the North. Here's hoping we catch fire in the playoffs!

Since 2011, the Texans have won the AFC South eight times. The Colts (2), Jaguars (2), and Titans (2) have equally split the other six division titles in that time.

I wouldn't rule out skipping chiefs, but it too could be good experience for the playoffs.

If Mahomes isn't playing it's the same defense he will face.

Titans game makes most sense to skip.

I would probably have him play a quarter or so just to keep reps going... he just had a bye week so it may not have huge benefits to outright miss a full game.

This rest talk with 3 games remaining is insane. The only game where there may be rest is the last game against the Titans but that just depends on how the next two games go. Resting with 3 games remaining sounds like loser talk.

Offense hasn’t been right most of the season. If anything, this should help them play more freely and open up the playbook a bit. We should be trying to build confidence in this offense.

I don’t really care who we play in the playoffs because we will have to play a good team regardless. But going 2-1 instead of 1-2 could be the difference between a first round matchup between the Broncos/Chargers instead of the Ravens.

Wow, our D is opportunistic, and we will go as far as they will take us. Our offense is a C+ and I am afraid we will need some major changes this off season, but I will enjoy this week because I don't know what the next 2 weeks will bring. IMO the OC has to go, but that's a discussion for another day..........today I enjoy the win and the TITLE

PS - Anthony Richardson SUCKS, but please keep playing him

PSS - Will Levis, you suck just as bad

Without an offense it probably won't matter who we play

    Any Given Sunday

So many damn Debby Downers running around forgetting that we have only been run off the field once this season (Minny game). Most losses were one score games against some of the best teams in the NFL and a couple other games we got caught overlooking an opponent. Other than that we have taken care of business all year regardless of how "sexy" its looked.

If they can create a little magic NOW is the best time in the season to do it. Ride or die.

This is where I am. I get being disappointed in the offense, because I am too. But everything needs to be considered in context. In the league in which the Texans find themselves, there is nobody who is dominant.

The Chiefs' record is fantastic...but if you've paid attention even a little bit, you know that their offense hasn't been good either, and they're winning by the skin of their teeth most weeks...even against opponents that you'd never think would play close to them.

The Bills look like the class of the NFL this week ---- I say this week, because I feel like who that is changes from week to week so quickly...that the team that was the "class of the week" one week looks pretty damn mediocre the next. I'll also remind you that we beat the Bills. Our defense gave them fits.

The Ravens have looked like a contender and a dud off and on through the season. When they're at their best, look out...but they're as inconsistent as anyone else...which is why they lost to the Raiders and the Browns.

This isn't the NFL I grew up with where teams would be graded against teams of the past and their relative greatness...these teams from week to week look everything from very good to very average.

That does not mean the Texans would be favored to beat those teams in the playoffs (though they are favored right now to beat the Chiefs in Kansas City)...it does mean that it matters less who the better team is than it does who is the better team ON THAT DAY. It's just wildly different to me than the NFL of the past

Resting this early would be too tricky, but it's nice not having pressure with the 2 games in 5 days coming up. Sit anybody that has any sore or nagging anything. The offense needs work and this is the time to experiment with new or different things, just protect CJ while you do it, and don't run Mixon into the ground, give Pierce and Dare more touches.

After playing around with the ESPN playoff machine...we definitely cannot take our foot off the gas these next 2 weeks, especially if you want to avoid Baltimore in the first round. If we these two, very high likelihood of the third seed and avoiding Baltimore.

KC game could be very winnable depending on Mahomes ankle

BAL on Christmas Day - tough but you are at home on a short week

Plus our offense needs reps against these teams to try to gain some confidence (without getting CJ killed).

Win Saturday and they have a legit shot at the #3 seed. I think Steelers lose again Saturday.

I'd rather spend my days focusing on how bad ass our defense and special teams are and how its perfectly fine to win games with that as a strength of the team. On offense we have one of the best RB/WR combos in the sport. YES there is plenty to be annoyed with on that side of the ball no doubt about it, but all it takes is a spark. All of us are still waiting for that one complete game from all 3 phases. If we could choose a time in the season for it all to click now would be the perfect time. Its just clown sht to read all the "fans" totally dumping on this team after they lock up the division in "king of trash mountain' hot takes when they do so with a single aspect in mind. Lets rally behind these guys. We're in the fking playoffs and we've punched several "contenders" square in the mouth along the way regardless of outcome - we belong on the field with any team in the NFL.

I agree with your points. However I’d just throw out one caveat in my opinion.

Josh Allen has found that switch and has turned it on. The dude is incredible. If he can’t beat you with his arm he’ll beat you with his legs. And mind you he’s doing all this with quote unquote no true offensive weapons.

They went into Detroit and just ran circles around that defense.

Josh Allen and the Bills team the Texans beat earlier in the season is not the same team. I personally think the Bills will make the AFC championship game. Of course I’m still rooting for Houston but I just don’t see it.

Our defense is scary lethal but unfortunately our offense can’t get it to together. Maybe in the next 3 weeks the lightbulb comes on but I’m keeping expectations low.
