There are many players who blossom late, but none of them are top 2 picks. I've looked into this, it's an interesting pattern. It's about opportunity. Top 2 picks are given all the opportunity early on and if they don't shine early that's a sure sign of a bust. Late bloomers are the ones that are not given the opportunity early and have to hustle and grind to get the playing time and the opportunity.
Another biased assumption. Also guards commit TO’s more frequently by nature of their position and responsibilities
People have accepted shepperd just fine. People accept Cam even. Both players have not performed well. They accept Sengun although he commits quite a bit of mistakes each game. One player they do not accept is Green.
More ignorance. Lol at this point it’s useless with people like you. No point in educating a mob out for blood rooted in false information and bias.
nope. I asked specifically for what the poster was talking about And here’s the thing posting some “stats” and citing some “metrics” means the data presented is biased. That’s why I combat such misinformation giving people a look at other angles other perspectives rather than the tired “he sucks” bullshi+
Sheppard is a rookie who has barely played, comparing that to a guy in his 4th year is nonsense. If reed is garbage 2 years from now, he’ll get the same hate jalen does (maybe not as much since he wasn’t nearly as highly regarded as a prospect). Sengun is not perfect obviously but he’s a fringe allstar level player. If you like something like bball reference gamescore, sengun has 11 games of 20+ (good games) and 6 single digit ones (bad games). Jalen has 5 good ones and 15 bad ones. Of course the guy who’s playing worse will get criticized more, it wouldn’t make sense for that to not be the case.
You are assuming that Sheppard or Cam would be hated the same after a few years. You also need to go back to 2021 and read some of those posts. Jabari has received a good deal of hate as well. The hate was present and clear in the first second year not just the last 2. Again Sengun makes several mistakes per game but those are not highlighted and criticized as they do Green. Not at all in many cases. Where are threads and posts filled with criticism, assumptions, false information for Sengun? Sure there has been criticism on his defense but the overall consensus is he is a “high IQ” player despite a lot of bad decisions each game. bias. Judgement. Hate.
Cam was a low pick, if he's even a rotation player he's exceeded expectations. You're gonna have different expectations/reactions to a guy who was picked 2nd vs a guy picked 16th, that's how it always has been and always will be. If Sengun sucked almost every game like jalen has this season, he would get way more criticism/hate. Yes, there are a couple people who "hate" jalen for non basketball reasons, but there's also a couple of those who are the same way towards sengun. If the rockets spent the 2nd pick on a weisman or a bagley, you don't think the fans would hate on them?
What are u counting as good games bc its sounds like u pull it out of your ass to hate on green. Sheppard should b sht on bc he came out the gate looking even worse than either Smith and Green did. He's not even doing well in practice for ime to reward him with more mins. A 3rd pick should not b struggling to get on the court. He has underperformed for sure.
Ya reed has sucked, as basically all rookies do. You're welcome to crap on him as much as you like. I just picked gamescore of 20+ as good and sub 10 as bad, you can use whatever numbers you want. I don't really ever trash rookies since i expect them to suck. What exactly is your complaint? Like even jalen's biggest supporters have to agree that he has been horrible this season no?
