Seriously, what does this guy even do? This so called shot doctor needs to be sued for malpractice. Who has improved in shooting since he's been an assistant coach. We're shooting worse than last year and are currently near the bottom in field goal percentage.

Maybe we should hire Lethal Shooter instead? I saw him on TV tonight.

And yet he isn't even numero uno in the fraudulent thieves on the team.

That goes to numero uno himself.

Ben is fine, he just proved, not every shot doctor can fix the Rockets, the Rockets are one of the hardest teams to fix......

I always thought the Harden and Ariza team was streaky ..... and that was when they were average at shooting.

People want to blame everyone but the players. Just because you hire a great shooting coach doesn't mean he touches them on the shoulder and they turn into Steph Curry. Let's be serious.

OKC has Chip Engelland who is a certified shot doctor. It's a big reason why Jalen Williams is so good now. He also turned Lu Dort into a decent 3 point shooter. Just look at a sample size of how some player's shooting percentages improved after working with him. How come we can't do the same thing?

    Dillon Brooks 4-13......Fred VV 1-11.

Those Veteran idiots coined the game tonight.

Well, Sullivan was the student of Engelland......better than nothing I guess.

Udoka was the student of Popovich.....and that turned out not so bad.

All those players played college more than a decade ago when shooting 3's was not a prioritised skillset so it's naturally easier to improve from a lower baseline.

These days, it'd be hard to find a player from the last 5 years who have made that level of improvement from their college to NBA days.

He’s gotten all our young guys to have the best FT percentage of their careers. I think it’s now up to them to make their open shots

Sure but Rox have players who were certified shooters like Jabari and Sheppard. Hell even JG shot 38% in GLeague and FVV was a career 40% shooter.

Why so many guys didnt just not improve, they actually regressed? Thats the shooting coach job and he is failing at it.

We have invested so much into Jalen, I think we know what he is at this point. He has had the green light to take shots, never had his starting job really threatened. What if we reeled him in a bit and had Jabari take a ton of shots and try to make him into a #1 offensive option? Let him take 20 shots a game, and try to develop his shot and maybe try some plays around him? We will have to make a decision on his contract soon, and it's not like we would be taking anything away from Fred or Jalen. Jabari is a confidence driven player, we should see what we have with him and give him the treatment Jalen has received for 3.5 years. We are not going to win a championship until someone on the team is scoring 25ppg efficiently. It is rare to win a Pistons type of championship.

JG only 22 would be a senior in college or rookie in NBA - I’m not giving up on him just yet - he’s worked on his FT shooting and it’s jumped up to 87/88% - that’s a good sign, I would be totally okay if he took less 3s and went more midrange if the FT% can translate….

37-38% is my end goal for him 3pt wise

I’m sure Ben Sullivan is a good coach. But one guy I know is a truly great shooting coach is Chip Engelland. Tillman needs to just throw money at him.

Chip England on the Thunder is shocking to me. I thought he was on the Spurs still.

Now it makes sense that Shai fixed his form after halftime to beat the Rockets. One talk to Chip England and it is fixed.

The problem isn’t the shooting coach - or the head coach. The problem is the person and process that led to drafting these players.
