Yea doubt rox are interested in trading for injury prone washed up Diva at 36, in exchange all these Ludacis offerers I've been hearing?

Like one heat fan thinking Green, Eason and 2 first is fair deal lmao. Yea there dreaming.

These people get paid to throw these trash rumors on Twitter?.

If Tomball Jim really wants to come here, he can opt out of his deal, enter free agency, and we'll see what we can do to add him on.

Jimmy has had major injury issues almost his entire career. He has pretty much averaged 60 games played for 13 seasons. The only reason he doesn't get Kawhi or Embiid level hate for it is because he was mostly available for playoffs, up until recently. Jimmy is considerably older than those two guys in NBA terms, he has a $52M player option next season. I feel like given his injury history and age, he likely will be taking that option. $52M on a 36 year old who has had injury history his whole career is a negative value deal this year. He is worth a decent role player, and maybe a late first. Cam and fillers is the most I would give up for spending $100M on Jimmy butler for his age 35 and 36 seasons.

I am intrigued whether the Jimmy Butler deal could facilitate good role players to other teams in this one......or decent draft picks.....

Sounds terrible. We don't have steady PG play without FVV so this trade may only make us marginally better. Rozier is a shooting guard.

Instead of a nightclub, can we rent James Harden to hammer out the details with Butler at a retirement home in Miami?

    Adams/Landale/Tate/Jeff Green/Holiday/2025 frp/2027 frp top 15 protected.

    Sengun/Smith/Reed
    Smith/Eason
    Brooks/Amen
    Butler/Green
    FVV/Amen

Sign Paul Reed. Mix in Cam and Reed as needed but that is the core 8.

if Jalen begins shooting the three ball enough to where we can push Butler to small forward and Brooks to the bench then great. My preference after that trade would actually be to put Butler at small forward and keep Green starting.

Butler opts in and we immediately become a contender over the next couple years.

    1) Ewwww to 35 year old, damaged goods Jimmy

    2) If you really want him just sign him in the off season

I’m starting to think maybe this team does need a trade, but Jimmy ain’t it. I was and still am on board of staying the course but man this team needs a star. Nobody from the roster so far is willing to take on the mantle and step up.

As if we need another player who can't make a 3.

Our problem is we need a genuine top 10 player and none of our players come close to that right now.

Not saying we SHOULD do it, but I could see adding Himmy to the roster.

    (1) Jimmy probably will have to opt-in to his contract b/c no one will have the $$$ to sign him outright in free agency to a contract that pays him $50M+ (BRK, WSH, NOP, CHA, DET... maybe SAS could get there)
I don't think WSH, CHA, DET are appealing in terms of winning and giving him the $$$ he wants.
So that leaves BRK (big market), Spurs + Pellies (maybe can put together a competitive team around Himmy
    ).

    (2) Once you have Jimmy and let's say he is determined to leave, you can trade him for assets (if he opts in) or S&T for lesser assets (if he opts out).

    (3) I think a player like Himmy can help make a player like Jalen better (as well as Cam, Amen, Tari, Bari, R33d, & Sengawd) by teaching accountability and playing tough (when you're not injured ;):po_O:rolleyes: ) every night + proper playoff mentality.

    (4) back to point 2 - if Rox were to do a S&T, could get players like...
BRK - Cam Johnson (if he doesn't get dealt this year)
NOP - Zion Williamson (yuck?) or Trey Murphy or Herb Jones or Dejounte Murray or CJ McCollum
    SAS - Keldon Johnson

    (5) not to mention, if another disgruntled star wants to come to Htown - you can send Himmy + draft compensation for said disgruntled star
    Durant injuries?
Giannis or Dame (didn't Jimmy go to Marquette?)
Tatum or Jaylen (do they want to be reunited with Ime?)
    Booker :eyes emoji:
    PG prolly washed
    Kawhi prolly washed
    Spyda
    Luka
    Ant
Bron :eyes emoji: (+ Bronny) nnnaaahhhhh

I just think there is big upside & potential to acquiring a player like Himmy for now and for later. I think the In-season Tourney showed this team's current ceiling.

If Heat realize we have best offer they're probably going to get and are reasonable, I think Dillon + Adams + Tate + 2025 HOU FRP (top 10 protected) for Himmy would help both teams tremendously. Could even re-direct Adams / Tate to a 3rd team to find a player that better helps the Heat.
WSH - Brogdon or Kuzma or Valanciunas to MIA (Adams + / or Tate to Wiz)
CHA - Grant Williams to MIA (Adams or Tate to CHA)
DET - Tobias Harris or Tim Hardaway Jr to MIA (Adams / Tate to DET)
CHI - Patrick Williams or Vucevic or Coby White to MIA (Adams / Tate to CHI)
ATL - Capela or Bogdanovic to MIA (Adams / Tate to ATL) possibly Nance Jr. to Rox with Landale & Adams to ATL & DIllon + Tate to MIA
UTH - Collins or Sexton or Clarkson to MIA (Adams / Tate to UTH... yuck)
POR - Grant to MIA (Adams / Tate to POR)

IF - big IF - Miami were to go for any of these, I would think that's something you have to STRONGLY consider. If Heat were to include Ware in the deal (would require Landale rather than Tate), it would be a no brainer for me.

Another option involved with a Jimmy trade, but would be to steer Jimmy to another team that could let Jimmy opt out and then re-sign him and other FAs (e.g. BRK)
BRK - Jimmy (MIA) + Josh Richardson (MIA) + Tate (HOU)
MIA - Dillon (HOU) + DFS (BRK) + Bogdanovic (BRK) + 2025 HOU FRP (top 10 protected)
HOU - Cam Johnson (BRK) + Kel'el Ware (MIA)
Too many moving parts for me - esp. depending on next year's off-season and a dearth of quality FAs.

OR another interesting idea: HOU - IND - MIA
IND: Landale (HOU) + Ware (MIA) + Tate (HOU)
MIA: Dillon (HOU) + Adams (HOU) + Uncle Jeff (HOU) + 2025 HOU FRP
HOU: Himmy + Myles Turner (IND) Pacers really cannot re-sign Turner so trying to secure his replacement (Ware who played at IU)
Pacers prolly going to cling tightly to Turner despite not being in their best interests

OR IMHO the most realistic trade option: HOU - MIA - NOP
MIA: Ingram (NOP) + Adams (HOU)
NOP: Dillon (HOU) + Tate (HOU) + 2025 HOU FRP
    HOU: Himmy (MIA)

NGL I am firmly in the camp of need to win a series or 2 in the playoffs this year to show "real" progress. I think Himmy can help with that. Himmy does what Dillon can do + more (when healthyo_O). Although 1 could argue, best ability = availability and Jimmy has not shown that as of late.
