This should be a fun game. It will be interesting to see how our defense attacks Tua, and to see if CJ shines against a weaker defense. Tua has only played in 9 games, but his numbers are really good. He has 17 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions, a RTG of 107.9, 279 yds per game and completes 73.3% of his passes. He averages 2 sacks per game. CJ has played 13 games with 15 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, 239 yards per game with a 87.9 RTG and 63.3% completion rate. He averages over 3 sacks per game. Our defense could turn the tables though. We've had 42 sacks and 16 interceptions and the Dolphins have only had 25 sacks and 9 interceptions. Mixon has more rushing yards than Achane and Collins has more receiving yards than Hill, but we need to cover Hill like glue. Our big plus is that we have 14 rushing touchdowns and the Dolphins only have 9. This should be fun. Go Texans!
My biggest concern about this game is that the Dolphins coach is a pretty innovative football mind, and I feel like our team is exactly the type that he would be able to exploit with some creative plays. Hopefully it doesn't work out that way, but I'm worried our good defense isn't going to look so good against them. I suppose our offense could step up this game, finally, but I'm not holding my breath.
We will be about halfway between Limon, Costa Rica and the Panama border on the Caribbean Sea side of the country.
Sweet, had a buddy of mine move there to team up with his dad who was in real estate and he loved it, but after about 10 years he wanted to move back to Texas....................Good for you man!!!
I am super nervous about which Texans team shows up, are we the listless team that lost several games we should have won, or does CJ wake up and realize he is the MAN and needs to throw for 350+..................The Fins are so much better than there record and Tua is on a tear. We're missing 2 major fixtures on D and I guess I am in PTSD mode........but I will be excited just to see the team play so lets get after it
I've spent a few weeks down that way in Playa Chiquita and Punta Uva and really enjoy it there. I didn't care much for Puerto Viejo, and was glad I booked lodging further south.
Nice. You have a beautiful park right there for exploring, and plenty of nice beaches to head to all down the coast. I'm heading back in March, but this time just to a remote jungle resort I love north of San Jose.
Its a very popular expat destination. My wife was born there so we have a leg up. Ive decided to do the Family Robinson type thing and try to be as self sufficient as possible considering my own perspective of the world at large. Scary, but exciting at the same time. Best to lay down the roots now while I still can at 47 and hope to have it built up and performing for my kids and grandkids before I take the long nap.
We know the country well. My initial desire was to be on the Pacific side, but I really wanted to be near the coast for subsistence fishing and most of the Pacific side has been already prioritized towards investment properties and the value wasnt there for my budget. I want to be able to wake up and take a bike ride down to a fishing spot to catch lunch! Pura Vida!
A good portion of my wife's family is from the Limon area, not super touristy at all apart from the cruise ships that come through and I would even say that I dont recommend going to certain parts of the town without someone that is known. The Caribbean side is definitely more rustic and 'eco' centric. Listening to howler monkeys at night while you try to fall asleep does take some getting used to!
Yeah, the first time I heard the howler monkeys was a trip. I agree that the Caribbean side is a lot more rustic but prefer that over touristy areas. The jungle lodge I like is way off the tourist grid, and that's how I prefer it. I don't go to Costa Rica to bar hop and party. It's just my escape from city life to chill out with friendly people and be surrounded in nature and wildlife
Agree. Tua is no joke. He gets that ball out fast, and with great accuracy. I hope CJ can get rid of the ball faster this week, and that Collins and Dell can get open. Sometimes CJ just holds that ball too long or throws too low, and our receivers are tackled after they try to scoop it up.
Fishing for lunch sounds nice. I stayed a few weeks next door to a family of fishermen in Samara and watched them go out each morning fishing. They sold me some filets of fresh Mahi Mahi from right off the boat really cheap. It was great, and I liked the Samara chill out vibe compared to Tamarindo, but I definitely liked the ocean better on the Caribbean side.
Gotta look at a map when I get home, I lived right around there for a month+ back in the day, can't remember the town
