[SR610] Ads...or how my heart skipped about 8 beats.

    Is anyone listening right now? @_@ I was laying in bed and this Points spread ad came on...now, my radio is up sort of loud, cause I'm usually on the computer across the room. I'm laying in bed right next to the radio though...

    all of a sudden this ....VOICE...comes booming through my radio

    Me: "GOD?"


    YADDA YADDA YADDA POINT SPREAD BEST PICKS EVER!!!!

    Holy crap I swear I jumped. It's like someone turned up the volume right when that one came on. :( not to mention they kept calling out the same phone number, which I already forgot. GOOD JOB GUYS! haha.

    Anyway...we need more EVERYBODY RIIIIIIDES ads.

    They played it this morning. I was late taking my bro and sis to school...so when I got in the car....all of a sudden I hear "CHOO CHOOOO"


    I had this Kool-Aid smile on my face so big...lol. Man...that rocked. Astros need to get that song and make it their Rally song or whatever.

    DAMN YOU! You cut off about 3 years from my life. Combined with the 10 the Texans and Astros erased from my life yesterday...I'm down to about 62 years. :(

    I swear I jumped about a foot off of my bed though. Anyway...we need more Granato.

    EVERYBODY RIIIIIIIDES....and "Hit the breaks.....REEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNN!" ads are probably 2 of my faves on the current ad rotation

    I miss the Trailer Wheel and Frame ads :) EVERYBODY RIIIIIIDES is great though. The Yellow Pegs was awesome too, when it was going, but for some reason they did away with it.

    Trailer Wheel and Frame was the best though. My favorite was one time that John and Lance called Trailer Wheel and Frame and started asking people if their boss was an a-hole.

    I hardly listen to 610 on mondays because of those crappy ads. They must pay a lot of money because there is about 10 different ones and they all say the same thing for someone else.

    I was actually going to start a thread about this when i got home but i was just so tired i didn't...thank god someone else did.

    You honestly hear those commercials more than you do any commentary.

    I know bro. They do pay well, though. There are certain types of advertisers that have to pay a premium to be on the air because of the integrity/decency that the station has to surrender by airing them. I'm not saying this is one of them I am just pointing this out at this time by coincidence.

    you actually start listening for them next Monday. I've done gay guy and Lee Hermey. Next week I am going to do The adam Sandler Idiot. You know the guy on his CDs? "One time..I ate my own $h!4 " Except I'll be all, "You've got to bet on this mang. Ees a sure theeng mang."

    Or I might be Sal from Jerky boys. I'll do my part in making it entertaining.

    My head actually almost exploded during those point spread ads. The 3rd time I heard it, I almost threw my radio through my office window.

    The ads are generally annoying as all hell though - how anyone can be amused by Granato whining "Evvvvvveerryyyyyboooddyyyy Riiideeesss" I'll never know.

    All ads suck, but it's these that have made me make a conscious decision to never buy a product from a company that tries to grab my attention my annoying the living crap out of me.
