It's mediocrity to make the playoffs (where only 25% of the teams make it in the NL, unlike basketball and hockey) with a 92-70 record? or are you just upset they didn't call up Jimerson?

Da, I was pretty optimistic in 1998 and 2001. Now, I dont know what to expect in the playoffs from our hitters. I'm sick of having my hopes brought down. The Astros pitching has always been there in the playoffs, the lack of opportunistic hitting in previous playoffs has been tough to watch as a fan.

I will admit that after my Biggio rants, I find myself rooting harder for him individually because I really want him to do well. because if he doesn't, I think the Astros are in trouble.

No, not really. I'm not bothered by one's misunderstanding of the diversity of the English language.

Nor are we bothered by your misunderstanding of the concepts of not being an *******. Go troll somewhere else.

I wasn't being an *******. But I'll ask if I want some comments from the peanut gallery.

    my final plea?

don't bench a guy in the 7th inning who has a double, a homer and accounts for 3 of your team's 5 runs in arguably the biggest game in franchise history.

I second that. Didn't understand that move at all.

Garner may have had a big hand in getting us here, but unfortunatly, he may have a bigger hand in getting us eliminated.

No one can ever criticise Biggio's postseason play again. The man just hit .400, FOUR HUNDRED!!! in a playoff series. 8-20, truly an awesome performance from the career Astros veteran.

Like I said long ago, Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and Kevin Brown were the reasons these guys didn't hit in the postseason before. They would have made most hitters look that bad at that time.
