I like JJ but he should've stuck with his growing social media empire

I was not impressed with the Lakers fast start to the season. Any change from Darvin Ham would be refreshing for them, especially someone with intellect like JJ Redick.

But the real test is how the players would respond to him as the season progressed and difficulties happened. They are 3-7 since the great start. Their roster can't compete for a championship. The loss to Miami was worse than disgraceful.

Now we'll find out whether JJ Redick can motivate and energize this team over the long 82.

That "intellect" ain't translating on the court
Maybe it wasn't Hamm's lack of intellect that was the problem

    It's Lebron's influence.

Darvin Ham's intellect was definitely part of the problem.

Let's wait a little longer on Redick. 36 games isn't long enough and I can see the Lakers sliding either direction from #6.

I dont think its influence rather Lebron is 40 and no longer good enough to carry the team with little help. Yeah he has AD, but he is also in the West where competition is insane and almost every team has a max player or 2.

KD in PHX and Curry in GSW are in the same situation. Lakers ans GSW should work on a trade to get Lebron into GSW. Him, Draymond and Curry can give it one last shot before retirement.

AD is inconsistent and a front runner.
Reaves and Kneck are ok but young
LeBron can make buckets but his defense is not as stout
in fact . . . none of the above are Defensive standouts
AD *could* be on but IMO his inconsistency is a no for me
They have *some* pieces but they need puzzle pieces that fit and ready to go with little coaching

I know I sounds like a bit of a Stan and no one wants to hear it
but they are a team that would really benefit from trading for Harden . . .. or even CP3
at this point in their respective careers . .. . CP3 and Harden are better at making their teammates
better than Lebron is or AD will ever be

Yeah makes sense. They just need more talent that WB trade really crippled them esp when you consider opportunity cost of not signing Derozan and letting Caruso walk.

I agree with much of this. I, particularly, support your AD comments. Dadgum he is so good, sometimes.

Reaves is overrated by his FO IMO. Good, not that young, not that very good.

IMO there are too many too intimidated by LBJ on that roster. Mr James is still one heckuva hoop ster, but Shirley needs some Robins.

CP3 & JEHj are too ball needy to play successfully with LeBron. Brooks, Adams, FVV all good fits for LAL and they can’t have antifreeze them!

CP3 and Harden feed everyone though
Make life alot easier for LeBron

CP3 has made everyone better everywhere
Harden worked with Kyrie and KD
so I think he would fit

you may be correct; I just don’t see it. LeBron might benefit - - if he gave up the team running which I definitely do not foresee; to me that will be his retirement signal.

however, latter day Harden has evolved much more than I anticipated.

True. LeBron is his own worst enemy.
I use to think he would be a good coach later
but now I am not so sure.
I have concerns on his evaluation of players and how to utilize them
I think he will suffer from the same issue MJ had . . . .. which is they cannot see beyond themselves
When they coach or train . . .they constantly asking "Why is this so hard. . i done it my whole life"
and not recognize that everyone else AINT THEM . .. don't have their talent and gifts
so it is hard to connect with others

I gotta give JJ credit for tonight. Coached this Lakers team to a great win against the Knicks without AD.
