Doesn't matter if he was left or right, gay or straight, black or white, this was an act of class warfare and you know the top 1% are getting a bit nervous when the old divide and conquer playbook is coming out so quick. They realize with all the guns in this country if we really wanted change we could probably get it. He was wrong to commit premeditated murder, now would I have snitched on him? Eh probably not...
Most people aren’t nearly fed up enough to throw their sweet ass 2024 America life away. Not even close. The revolution is a long way off comrade.
Mr. Mangione grew up in Maryland, according to Joseph Kenny, chief of detectives with the New York City Police Department. He attended high school at the Gilman School in Baltimore, where he was an athlete and the valedictorian of his graduating class in 2016. In a graduation speech, he described his class as “coming up with new ideas and challenging the world around it.” He thanked parents in attendance for sending him and his classmates to the school, which he described as “far from a small financial investment.” Tuition at Gilman is currently $37,690 per year for high schoolers. Mr. Mangione then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he displayed a keen interest in developing computer games. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and graduated with both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in engineering. Stanford University confirmed that a Luigi Mangione worked as a head counselor in its Pre-Collegiate Studies program in 2019. Mr. Mangione’s family has prospered from its real estate holdings and a chain of senior rehabilitation centers. Chief Kenny said Mr. Mangione had lived in San Francisco and Honolulu and had no known criminal record in New York City. In fact, the only criminal activity that seems linked to Mr. Mangione is a citation for trespassing in Hawaii.
Class warfare ? Dude was a rich Ivy League kid who’s enjoying the life breh @basso @Salvy apparently he loved the uni bomber
Riiiight...never mentioned anything about a revolution my lost libertarian friend, only that some reform would occur if we weren't so hell bent on owning the other side. Unity in this country is the enemy of the wealthy, once people realize how bad they've been getting ****ed anything is possible.
For once in my life I want a libertarian to explain the benefits of a profit driven health insurance system. I'm not reffering to hospitals, pharma etc. I'm referring to the entity that just pools money together. Why does that need to be profit driven? What advancements in society has the medical insurance industry given us with their profits? I want to ask a libertarian why can't we just have a public insurance pool for the entire country managed by a team of actuary scientists and medical professionals with salaried positions at the government? I want to ask a libertarian what utility to society provides in a private system where a bunch of MBA frat bros skim billions of dollars from the collective pool of money gathered in a insurance network? What utility does that provide society? More yacht manufacturing jobs? Is that it? Is that the purpose of this system? Any libertarian willing to answer so I at least get a perspective of an argument that I'm blinded to
I don’t think this heralds a revolution but given the easy availability of firearms and other weapons it doesn’t take a lot of people to do a lot of damage. The argument that many on the right like to say is that an armed populace is a check on tyranny. Well there are many who might consider using those arms against wha they see as economic tyranny.
Good luck with any of that, most libertarians are just different from normal folks and I really don't take much stock in what they say anyways.
