Since we are on the subject. I have 5 TVs in our house. They are fine, but 1080p. I have Verizon Fios, and all of my TV apps seem to stream in 4K with the exception of YouTube TV. Is there a discernable difference between 1080 and 4K for viewing? Is it worth updating a main TV or 2?
I’ve only got one white spot so I can’t help you. I just pretend the Sun is in every scene. Apparently, they have these little reflectors or something they glue into place that can come loose and fall with age or moving it around. If you were to shake your TV, then you can hear them rattling around at the bottom of your TV. Now, supposedly, you can take your TV apart and glue these things back in place. See YouTube. Some idiots making the TVs said, “these things will never come loose or off”, so they affect all TVs. It’s probably cheap epoxy or a cheap manufacturing process. They don’t care. They just want you to buy another TV.
If you have an ultra HD TV but your watching on a platform that only offers 1080P, is the picture still good? I am so NOT a tech person...
How we never broke our necks as kids, using nylon? sleeping bags as "sleds" starting at the top of the stairs and flying down to the tile floor (and wall) at the bottom
That kind of the reason I have held out on a 4K unit. You Tube TV is 1080 unless you pony up for the 4K tier. Now most of the add on subscription channels I have, cast in 4K. I must admit I have seen some Planet Earth episodes being shown at Best Buy on a 4K and dang if it ain't crisp. I'm curious how 4K does with sports broadcasts.
I give zero ****s about 4k. I don’t game and I don’t watch much TV. HD is fine to me. Software upscaling looks weird to me and ‘motionflow’ makes me feel like I’m watching tv on acid. Most sports are either on FTA antenna or bootlegged. For whatever reason fiber skipped my street so I’m stuck on cable internet and a constant 4k stream would cost me more. Give me a good HD tv with good sound or a soundbar and Roku, and I’m good.
You have a Dot sanctuary TV. Unless you build a wall around your TV, more dots will appear. You could try ICE on it maybe that will get the dots you have to go away,
Honestly, I don’t really see the difference. Maybe I’m totally wrong and need to take a look. /shrug What I never need is 4k pron to see the ingrown hairs on some dudes sack. No thank you. Give me VHS quality.
