https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/16/politics/fact-check-trump-biden-black-unemployment-poverty/index.html Facts First: Trump’s claims about having achieved the lowest Black unemployment rate and poverty rate ever recorded were true when he made them before Biden took office, but they are not true today. Both of the record lows set during Trump’s presidency were surpassed by new record lows during Biden’s presidency. Fact check: Biden, not Trump, has the record lows for Black unemployment and poverty Sun June 16, 2024 https://www.npr.org/2018/01/08/5765...loyment-rates-for-african-americans-hispanics 2018 The long answer Trump is right that African-American unemployment hit a record low in December. The unemployment rate for black Americans is currently 6.8 percent, the lowest level recorded since the government started keeping track in January 1972. Got ya. The 3 justices was political gamesmanship by Mitch more than Trump but yea and weak democrats Cutting Regulations IMO is not a win. Many industries need more guard rails. We will see Rocket River
Honestly I am REALLY surprised by the lack of Votes for Reagan Esp since you can pick 2 people Rocket River I must say I am happy Lincoln is getting his due
COVID noise is messing with your numbers. Actually, the blue state/city response to COVID (lockdowns leading to job losses... and then Biden got the bounceback jobs on his watch even though his response prolonged the suffering).
A lot of ambiguity about what "greatest" is. Best for the interests of the US? For humanity? Most effective? Most moral? Most 'republican'? Most impactful on the course of history? Most impactful on what it means to be republican? On the latter two, I'd say Trump is up there. On what it means to be republican, Reagan and Trump are the two guiding personalities (and Lincoln is somewhere near the bottom). On changing the course of history, it's probably Lincoln first but Trump's up there -- but other unimpressive presidents like W would score well on changing history. If we're thinking of our best interest or his efficacy in getting stuff done, and certainly on being an upstanding person in leadership, Trump is scoring near the bottom. So i think you're giving posters a lot of latitude in defining the question they're answering. That makes the poll more of a virtue-signaling exercise -- and who doesn't want to be associated with Lincoln? - so no wonder Reagan isn't polling well.
Trick question, Lincoln was before the ideology flip. Better question is ‘who is the best modern Republican after the 1964 Civil Rights Act’ and the resounding should be Regan, although IMO a lot of his economic policies were damaging to the average person.
