The reason why Ja'Sean was moderately used in the last 2-3 years and still was not traded.......to fill in as a filler.

 

We gotta run the offense through Amen more often. He was doing superstar things tonight. The handle and jump shot both improved a lot in just one offseason. He was getting it done at all three levels. Especially exciting to see his midrange game coming along.

The efficiency is what's really notable. Felt like Amen had the ball in his hands about half as often as Jalen did, and he was almost as productive on offense in that time. Not that Jalen had a bad game by any means, this was one of his better ones, but he took a lot of jump shots to get there, and bricked the majority of them. Still, credit to JG for stepping up with Fred out and getting it done.

Also quietly one of Dillon's best games of the season, good ball movement and rebounding from him tonight, and he was knocking down shots.

 

Jalen was fired up going against KPJ tonight, glad he got to the basket and did some wild things that worked. He should be able to finish those plays more often with that athleticism. Also nice to see Tate still able to give us a spark, he hustled and knows how to play. With FVV out, he should be our back up PG since he can handle it. Then pair him with Aaron as a SG and we’re good to go. No more Reed please, G-League. And no more Adams please, give me Jock. Ime’s too stubborn. Amen is slowly becoming our go-to guy, those mid-range shots and just showing up everywhere on the court and putting in work. Played much more his game than against the Warriors. Keep it up! Btw, is he our best corner 3 guy? Feels like whenever shoots those, they’re money. So I don’t mind him taking THOSE threes regularly and a couple of times during the game, but should create opportunities more often. Jabari & Sengun had very solid all round games too.

 

Jalen usage was 31%. Amen's was 19.6%.

My favorite play from Amen tonight. We missed the alley-oop, but Amen stays hungry and gets the easy jumper.

 

I am certainly no sociologist, nor do I play one online. I am not a typical user of social media. However, I am an avid reader of Clutchfans and all things Rockets even though I am not much of a poster. Been a fan since the days of Moses Malone. I do not mean to offend but I find it very interesting how negative are most posts here, either against specific players, the coaches, referees or other posters. People online seem very quick to criticize and presume the worst even early in games. I rarely read anyone who admits their post was in error. I guess this is the way social media works, or rather the way many people make it work. I just don't see how it benefits anyone's psyche or rational discussion. I just want to see the Rockets win and enjoy the ride. It's been a great season thus far and I anticipate a strong future for the team.

Now, I suppose, feel free to flame this ol' guy too. Happy holidays everyone. Although most comments suggest things with the team are lousy, we are currently tied for third in the West. Just sayin'.

 

Even with FVV resting and Tari out for concussion, Rockets should have won that game. And they did. They looked like the better team throughout. Good game.

 

Amen is blossoming right before our eyes. His efficiency is insane and that mid range?

 

In my opinion you described a particular poster on this board to a T (if you read this you know who you are) unfortunately they through their toxicity brings some of these qualities out of other posters as well overall making this message board worse than it otherwise would be.

I agree with you. And personally I need to do better in this regard. Following the Rockets and being online should not be negative. If it is put the device down and walk away.

 

I’m just glad that Coach logged into Clutchfans, read and took my point about giving Holiday some burn last night, and then executed my plan. Mwuhaha. Yes it was all meeee. Yeah! That’s the ticket!

 

I freaking love him pushing KPJ than looking at him after he falls. This is how superstars are born, Be Someone. I can't help, but all the players are 1 team helping each other get up from a fall. Love it, can't get enough jelling.

 

The great thing about being a Sengunian is he will never let you down, he will always dominate and carry his less talented teammates.... Being a Sengun fan almost eliminates being wrong...

With every game that passes it is clear to me Amen is our future superstar.

We just need to surround him and Sengun with players that complement their game.

If Amen was on a sucky team you'd probably see "The NBA has an Amen problem" type videos all over youtube lol.
