H-E-B thins ghost pepper ranch hit pretty hard. Spicy ass chips. Don’t know if this counts but Harvest Snaps crunchy loops are like a “healthy” Funyuns dup and they’re very good. Yes I know it’s not actually “healthy”. On another note, my wife is the type that loves bland ass foods. Basic ass potato chips with salt, Fritos, plain tortilla chips with no dip. Fries with no ketchup. Chicken tenders with no sauce. It’s absolutely criminal.

Bro you don't know my pain with the plain arse food wife. And most of my career was as an Executive Chef. Now a County facility system administrator or as Chowder like to call is a Dining Room Manager She hates condiments so much she won't even touch a bottle of ketchup to bring to me at the dinner table She will not eat rice of any kind, only roasted, mashed, or baked potatoes No vegetables other than sauteed onions or peppers, she calls them pizza vegetables. She has a strict no kissing policy of one hour after I eat any pickles. Never ate anything from the sea including tuna fish in a can Only eats Peanut butter, no freakin jelly. On her turkey sub her condiment is BUTTER She is Irish but last summer on our trip back there she makes me bring two pounds of Oscar Mayer Center cut bacon and 3 lbs Land O Lakes butter. Because Irish bacon in her words, is Fekin Shite, and she hates Kerry gold butter. Irish, but won't eat lamb!!! No Cheese except on pizza or a Calzone. I could keep going.
no cheese on pizza?? my wife will only eat cheese pizza. No toppings. wings, plain We went to Canes and she ordered “naked” chicken (no batter), and called it a “hack” bc it’s “less calories” yeah girl, you just ate fried chicken without the batter, why even bother going to canes then. The logic.
Sabritones Ruffles Queso (way better than the cheddar and sour cream) Golden Flake Louisiana Hot sauce skins Golden flake super strips with red pepper On the Border Cafe style tortilla chips (they need to tone down the salt though) Snack Factory pretzel chips buffalo
My wife will eat fajitas. Just the beef, chicken, tortillas and sautéed veggies. I get her Pico, guac. Rice and beans. Big win for me cuz you never get enough of the sides. Same when we go out to dinner. I always get her veggies and dinner salad
breh, you need to upgrade to a normal person. Nothing more frustrating than wanting to try a new restaurant or food with someone else, only for you to bring them and have them complain the whole damn time. Youre a better man than I.
Your wife sounds like a friend of mine who is a very picky eater to the point that she will only eat pizza (cheese) pizza from one particular chain. Other than that her diet mostly consist of Kraft Mac and cheese and food her mom makes. fyi she’s in her 40’s and is married. I don’t know if it’s a women thing as my ex also was vey particular about her food. She claimed it was because of all sorts of intolerances but I think much of it was psychology. will agree with your wife on one thing. Irish bacon is shite. I blame the English for spreading that to Ireland and the rest of the British empire.
Don’t eat chips that often but… Fritos Honey BBQ Twists Cheetos Natural White Cheddar Zapp’s Voodoo Potato Chips and if you are in the UK Walkers Cheese/Onion or Salt/Vinegar are incredible HEB Salt/Vinegar pork rinds/chicharones are awesome as well.
Unsalted tortilla chips seems like such a Minnesota thing. My wife isn't terribly far off from this. No ground beef. No veggies except for the occasional very basic salad. No rice. No mac n cheese. No seafood (though neither do I). I love to cook and my son is an aspiring chef so we both want to try things...but my wife will happily just eat cereal. As far as chips go... I could eat an entire bag of Doritos Cool Ranch in 1 sitting if I'm not careful. HEB Kettle Jalapeno HEB Bakery SALTED Tortilla Chips basic Ruffles
More like a middle aged guy thing. Salt is one flavor Minnesotans won’t back off of. Cheese curds are very salty. For the record I do eat them with hot Pace Picante salsa. I do notice that my local grocery store doesn’t stock a lot of it including the large size bottles. They got A LOT of mild though.
