Priority pass doesn't have a lot of options domestically. I enjoyed their international lounges. They weren't as crowded as the drama queens on this thread are making it out to be. Then again, maybe I just been poor all my life and appreciate the extra perks in life.
I have CSR. Priority pass used to be amazing. There was a restaurant credit and you could spend $52 at select places in airport like Landrys at IAH. They got rid of that and now its not great. Lounges have really select times and are not great quality. CSR has new chase only lounges coming out soon, so if she travels to those places that will be getting a lounge frequently (jfk, la guardia, San diego, vegas, etc) then it would likely be worth it. These lounges are super high quality per report (I have not been to any yet).
I have priority pass via my chase sapphire card and I use it almost every time I travel. Absolutely worth it.
Huh? I've always done the cash-back option...never paid enough attention to know there was another one
Chase sapphire reserve gives you priority pass membership https://creditcards.chase.com/rewards-credit-cards/sapphire/reserve
Priority Pass is my last fallback option when traveling on airlines/alliances I usually don't use, or sometimes at obscure small airports where that is the only option. Normally, I would be on Star Alliance or Oneworld. On the rare occasions where I fly Delta or some other Skyteam airline, that's when the Amex Centurion Lounge and Delta lounge access via Amex is useful. I have to admit that if everything else is equal, I sometimes decide my routing based on the lounges that are available, e.g. Chelsea Lounge at JFK, etc. (the lounge itself is not that great, but I like Krug).
You aren’t wrong. It’s the language of science and money. It’s massively diverse and if it doesn’t have a word for something and another language has the right word, we just appropriate that **** like its land we want. Big tidal wave caused by an earthquake. Nah that a Tsunami, bro.
I travel a lot domestically and internationally so have a United Club Chase Visa. Some United clubs are nice with lots of space, some are sort of shabby and small. Depends on how often you travel and what airline you use as it costs like $500 annually. United sucks overall but I have to be a status w**** due to travel frequency. Delta seems much better but can’t comment on their lounges
$600 annually and yes, Delta is king, but living in Houston, United makes more sense, but they're not the worst.
It really should be a hurricane. Cyclone Anaya, who founded the resturant, was a pro wrestler from Venezuela, where hurricanes are hurricanes and not cyclones, which are in the south Pacific and Indian oceans.
The delta lounge in atlanta is massive, but there was still a wait. I would say it is nicer than united lounge at IAH.
Extra perks in life means not going to the airport extra early just to get a free beer and crap food. I will say Capital One Lounges are nice, but I don't fly to Dallas as much as I used to anymore. And priority pass is definitely worth it for international trips. Also, they limited Amex's Prirotiy Passes and now Capital One (Venture X) and Chase Sapphire Reserve's Prirotiy Pass where you don't get the $28 credit at Landry's so you really are limited in Terminal C at IAH. Not that Landry's is great... it was just conveniently located in Terminal C. I still have Chase Sapphire Reserve and Venture X. They give enough cash back to make it worthwhile and easy to transfer Chase points to United which is helpful.
Honestly everyone and their mama has lounge access now. Either through some credit card program or loyalty programs for the airline. It's crowded. The food is blah and it's just turned into another 'gate/boarding area'. With priority pass you get wait listed now too. That happened to me in Argentina. Flew business class on Qatar in Oct and...now that's a lounge. https://www.qatarairways.com/en-us/lounges/al-mourjan.html
