"Sengun is Houston’s best player." In other news, water is wet. But what do they mean by "His game isn’t analytics friendly"? lol All the "analytics" have him as a top 10 player in the NBA.
Not sure if you were joking, but higher ratings are better. So Jokic is at the very top w Shai and Giannis
maybe since the NBA has finally come out and said it, you could shut the thread down by asking Clutch to lock it up. just a thought.
By analytics nba.com refers to ppg and fg% Going more advanced is too much for casual fans. Maybe add TS% to the list and we are done.
Oh I thought he had a rating of 29 somewhere but wasn't included in the list or something. Not super off though - if you look at detailed ratings he is 5th over last 7 days, and 2nd over last 365 days. He had a pretty bad start to the season - his absence triggered conversations (that are dumb on individual skill-wise) on whether the team is better without him, and the rating probably favors two-way players.
That's fair, he was injured during preseason and got lazy/outa shape so started slow. But Jokic being so low is completely asinine and makes the stat worthless.
His slow shooting starts are starting to become a trend and I don’t understand why. Q1-2 Alpi is shooting like Jock and Q4/OT Alpi is an absolute force.
It's very weird. Very disappointing effort tonight. These slow starts and the loss of touch around the basket are strange.
Maybe dunk the ball when there is nobody within 3 ft of you. There was the play where FvV finds him underneath the rim. He waited a second before opting for a layup
Sengun starts the games soft too often. This has been a trend for years now. I feel like he needs to rethink his warmup routine. Definitely starts softer than he finishes. He needs to be more assertive and more aggressive, but looks not ready for it at the 1st quarters.
