The ambivalence over this guy's murder is pretty universal. These guys trying to make it a left right thing gotta be bots.
Some of the latest evidence sounds like this might be less of a professional hit but someone with a very deep seated hatred of the insurance industry. It also sounds like someone with a lot of focus and knowledge about how to pull off something like this. I’m wondering if this was someone who had high level military training.
why, pray tell, did "this" happen? if you know, please tell the boys of the NYPD, 'cause as of this writing, they don't know.
On a personal note one of my cousins works for United Healthcare. She’s pretty low level So I don’t worry about her being a target for assassination but this has really shaken up the company.
You see how Anthem reversed their decision right? Sure we dont know for sure the reason, but it is likely the reason. Highly doubt the wife is involved in any way. It could be the board. He was scheduled to speak in court this week and killing him stops that and anything he might have said. But still, doesn't change the fact the woke right wants to virtue signaling all day about this when 99% of people aren't celebrating someone being murdered. Ignoring the bigger issue to throw sympathy at a guy worth over $100MM.
on a personal note, we have United Healthcare, and they occasionally deny a claim until we can provide proof we have no other insurance. I have yet to be motivated to assassinate anyone.
you seem to be suggesting that because he was rich, his life is worth less, and therefore woke right should not be upset. is that an accurate representation of your argument?
Just understand leftists can distinguish between employee trying to pay off a mortgage or paying rent and that is their motivation to work for these companies vs a executive or shareholder that isn't worried about mortgage payments and has this job for the love of the game ( and wealth extraction). The vast majority of people who find the assassination "amusing" and are not expressing sorrow over the death of the CEO see employees of United as victims of the CEO, not enemies. But I can understand the fact that there always will be that one unhinged person who can't make that distinction and it only takes one to inflict permanent damage.
I'm sure there are varying degrees of being screwed over by a private health insurance company. Maybe the killer lost a loved one and believes rightfully or not that the policy decisions of that CEO was responsible for said loved one's death. Could that turn a typically stable person over the edge to plan out an assassination? Probably. Hence why I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen more often.
Let me make this clear one last time: 1. Murder is wrong, period. It should never be celebrated. But we live in the age of the internet, so a small minority will do it. 2. The healthcare industry is deeply corrupt. Decisions made by these insurance companies, which saved them billions in profits, have cost countless American lives. Do you even care about that? 3. Given how brazen this killing was, it’s likely tied to retaliation, either for a loved one lost due to insurance decisions or even a corporate power move. A lover’s quarrel? Possible, but highly unlikely. I don’t know what else needs to be said. It’s tragic for his family and loved ones, but what more can we do? The bigger focus should be on the shady practices of the insurance industry. Case in point: Anthem literally reversed a terrible decision yesterday after public backlash. Let’s move forward.
Yes I don’t think my cousin or other low level employees are in serious danger but they doesn’t mean that they aren’t feeling uneasy right now. A targeted assasination of a low level Employee is very unlikely but unfortunately in this society a mass shooting at United Healthcare offices can’t be ruled out. I’m pretty sure security at their offices is very high right now.
With the words on the casings it's kinda obvious. That can't and shouldn't rule out the possibility that the words were put there to throw off an investigation if the intent was for other reasons. Be they personal or business related. The guy had to know plenty about the guy's itinerary so an inside job or domestic reason isn't out of the question.
Hopefully you and your family never get a major illness and your shitty insurance denies you coverage.
That's rich You are concerned that people are feeling this guy's life is worth less because he was rich When He was literally rich because he judged other people's lives to ne worth less Rocket River
I get where youre coming from. This is what happened with the CashApp CEO but cashapp isn't a controversial business or in a shady industry (generally speaking). And more importantly, it wasn't caught on camera during the beginning of rush hour for America's largest city (and in one of its nicest areas), in front of a major hotel. There has been 100x more discussion on United Health corrupt dealings than there have been any celebration of death.
I mean that is high level irony isn't it? People asking to place value on a life of someone who became wealthy from devaluing lives of thousands of people. Can't make this **** up.
