Unfortunately, we barely run DHO, despite JG and Alperen being great at it. :(

I won't argue that it's been effective, but it appears to me that this style isn't fully taking advantage of Alperen's creativity. Alpy is the kind of player to get hyped up by making flashy creative passes. Allowing him to do so within reason would be good for him and the team. Maybe once he proves he can keep the turnovers low we will see more of the passing he used to do.

I would love to see Ime turn this man 100% loose on the offensive side. Let him do his thing!

My concern is he is losing his mojo/patience in sake of being decisive/direct. He is not really faking anymore to create space under the basket. It was his 'thing' for so long, feels weird to watch him barrel down and get blocked. I hope he will find the sweet spot in time.

That's one thing I am surprised to see go away, the spins and fakes dazzling the opponents.

He showed it once on a drop step the other night. But yeah, needs to find that balance. And freaking finish bunnies.

That Ottoman flag looks really outstanding among all Americans.

Rule should be that if your team didn't comfortably make the play-offs (meaning no play-in teams) you cannot qualify for an All-NBA team.

Any stat that has Doncic ranked 29th is seriously flawed, and not worth talking about

I don’t care want anyone says

Momster should be in charge of all awards. She doesn't give a sh*t about PR.

The reason why Momster likes and supports Sengun so much is very simple. I assume she clearly sees and feels a brotherly love of Alperen towards Tari, and after all she is a mom, first and foremost. Add to this the automatic unconditional respect of Sengun towards Momster herself as to the parent of his friend (which is by default in Turkish culture) and you get the picture.

Lebron has turned into a stat-padding Westbrick with better publicity.

4 reasons the Rockets are rolling to begin the season
Houston is developing ahead of schedule behind Alperen Sengun, Fred VanVleet, a deep roster and coach Ime Udoka.

    https://www.nba.com/news/4-reasons-the-rockets-are-rolling-to-begin-the-season

    3. Sengun is Houston’s best player. Sengun’s challenge after getting a five-year, $185 million contract extension was to get in better physical shape and improve on what was a breakout 2023-24. The conditioning is acceptable and he has resumed the pace after a slow start. He averaged 15.2 points and 12.4 rebounds per game in October before reaching 19.9 ppg and 10.1 rpg in November.

His game isn’t analytics friendly but maybe that’s why he’s effective: he’s a low-post player with good footwork and soft hands who doesn’t space the floor or jack up 3-pointers. He’s a throwback, essentially, and there’s still room for those types in today’s game.

Best part? He’s only 22 and much like others in the rotation is just tapping his prime.
