I find myself caught up with putting Police Procedurals on just as background Law & Order is my Goto Don't care for SVU Law and Order Law and Order: SVU Bones Criminal Minds Monk Psyche NCIS SWAT too too many to name. Which ones stand out for you guys as most rewatchable Rocket River
The Wire's not a procedural, but Homicide is. I've been rewatching that since it's finally streaming. That plus Brooklyn 99 gives you the full range of Andre Braugher.
Cops is still the best show on TV. Also like Jail and On Patrol: Live. My wife and I joke that if we ever land on an episode of Law and Order....we HAVE to finish it. Dick Wolf is a genius.
I love original Dragnet still. Its very corny (part of the allure) and by today's standards feels almost like a stage play, but I still enjoy it. Jack Webb and Col. Potter with the deadest of deadpans is good stuff. If it wasnt the first Police procedural on TV is was certainly one of the hugest early successes.
I am always a sucker for the old SVU`s with Elliot and Benson......back in the day NYPD Blue was my go-to
Started rewatching Bones, again for the 3rd time. 2005 pilot episode: "I just got back from Guatemala and Genocide. Why should I be scared of you?" Bones is a good comfort watching show. I stop at season 9 and skip straight to the series finale. Didn't like the direction it took. Enjoyed NCIS. Quit watching when Ziva left the first time. Surprised to find out it's still going during a Texans commercial break. Always wanted to watch Law and Order:SVU but get discouraged when I see it has 1,000,000 seasons. CSI Miami is like Drake music. People don't want to admit they enjoyed it for a few seasons. Rookie looks interesting, will add it. Only 7 seasons.
I like Psyche and Monk as the semi comedic procedural I see there is a new one High Potential but it is only so so I don't like SVU because while we can agree they need to get the criminal . . they do some criminal isht themselves CSI was never a fav. I did find them interesting NCIS is pretty good on a bad day The Shield was rough - in a good and gritty way I need to go back and watch some of the older ones I guess Hill Street Blues etc USA use to have In Plain Sight which was good until the lead got Pregnant. Watching her try to "police" while pregnant was not compelling While not a "police" drama I like BURN NOTICE It was like the successor from McGyver Rocket River
Thumbs up for Bosch.Monk and Brooklyn 99 are good too. All others listed are background noise at best for me, on while doing chores.
I like watching the idiots online asking for supervisors and trying to verbally fight with the police. Even if you're in the right you should... take your ticket, your loss, your unwarranted search by shutting your trap, getting through the situation as quickly as possible and letting your lawyer work it out in court.
